Ixarku:
Heh, melancholy and fatalism have been a part of my personality for a very long time. I've struggled with depression off and on for my entire adult life, although, with the exception of work- and home ownership-related stress, I can't really complain about the quality of life. It's not something I make a big show of here, I mostly suck it up and keep on moving. I know it sounds weird, but I really don't place a lot of value on my own life. Some of this is a consequence of my own fears and feelings of inadequacy, but some of it is also philosophical -- I see an individual's life as ultimately meaningless, and my own life's not so wonderful that I want to see myself live long enough to degenerate into the frailty of old age. Again, I'm not deliberately self-destructive, it's a bit more of a passive-aggressive attitude. Plan for the best, expect the worst.

Then there is also a difference between not minding dying tomorrow and knowing that you may die any day and it just might be tomorrow without seeking it actively.
"Carpe diem" I don't think it is a self destructive way of thinking. If anything I would call it acceptance of your mortality and making the best of the time you have left.

I believe that most people here can understand a not so subtle message directed to them. Since apparently there is at least one person who doesn't understand it I will put it more clearly. When someone talk calmly and politely to you and you answer aggressively, e.g. by insulting them, nobody cares what you were trying to say anymore. All we really register it that you are a fucktard incapable of having a civilized conversation.

Really? After being on the internet for who knows how many years. I don't really have an issue filtering through the whole rant.

First, I apologize for necro'ing this thread after a month. However, there is finally a picture and an estimated calorie/fat count on this bad boy. As per the article:
--- Quote ---It costs a whopping $59 and checks in around 10,000 calories and 700 grams of fat, which means you’d have to split it about 10 ways to have it qualify as “really bad for you” rather than “will probably kill you.”

That's not a meal that's a monstrosity.
