Actually, I have said that half of MMO player are horny teenagers, and a lot of other people still like to see what they consider appealing, so it's natural for the companies to oblige with revealing outfits. Slight difference there.

Either way, haven't played Rift for long, but yeah, complex armor customisation is indeed quite rare, on the other hand, so is character one. As long as people pay and are somewhat quiet everything's good I guess.

But sure, granted, there could be more of the realistic games, on the other hand, I still think it's kind of out of line to complain about skimpy outfits in game which is basically all about skimpyness.

If you do a search on google you can see age demo graphics for alot of different mmos. Even games like wow the avg age of players is like 28-30 not teenagers. Just because male players like females to be wearing attractive / revealing armor doesnt make them a bunch of horny kids. Horny adults maybe but not teenagers.

Yes, 28 was average age 8 years ago, but it actually went down abit (average). Check the post above yours. Either way, I have not said it makes you a horny teenager/kid, I have said that the fact large portion of people want it is important for marketing.  Misinterpreting what I said (again) is not apperciated.

I don't really care, so I'm not going to bother fact checking.  This was posted on dec 2010(Its probably from a old study, but I can't find anything newer.) and it says avg age in WoW is 30.  So I don't know where you get your numbers but at least Sakubos is a repeatable search.

The only reason I bothered looking is because I wanted a source.  Also according to this 40% of mmo players are female.

I don't really believe this stuff is really that accurate(it's based off internet surveys and its old), but one thing I don't like is statistics that have no source and are therefor made up.  I can't be the only one that thinks bad of people that post "made up" numbers to "win" an internet argument.

Allright, you win. You missed the point, but you have won. And so the conclusion...
All outfits, especially in TERA, are made the way they are because noone whatsoever wants to see them that way and we should censor them all.

I am.
I don't believe you do play fat OR curly characters tho. Screenshots or it didn't happen. And in case it would be in D&D... no... That... That would be just wrong and twisted.

I think it's been done...

Who cares how it looks? Writing off a game because you don't like the art style is very close minded. Video games are about gameplay which tera has a lot of. If you want to watch a movie then go watch a movie. But I guess that's why so many games nowadays are just corridors with cutscenes, it's all people care about.

Looks are pretty important for a game that you could potentially be putting thousands of hours into playing...if you don't enjoy looking at what you're playing then why would you continue?

...I was also under the impression that tera's gameplay was lacking...can't judge until/if I play for myself though

I have 2 codes left for the NA beta this weekend if someone still wants to try the game out.

Not sure about gameplay, but the combat system seems really interesting. No tab-targeting, but moving around freely so you can dodge enemies.

That is why it is so sad that they ruined the game for me with their shitty aesthetics.
