The art was amazing, the music was nice (though it would have been good if there was more singing involved in the show), and the characters were likeable enough, but the drama itself just felt dull and insignificant. It was never all that dramatic, even though it tried to be, and the result felt, to me, as though it was making a big deal out of nothing most of the time.

6/10

Hah. I felt the exact same way. Gave it the same rating too :P I had high expectations when I started this series. It clearly had the budget of Iroha, had a plot that could be outstanding AND there was the singing aspect which had me the most excited. Iroha had a story that continually evolved and changed and it was fantastic for that. This one... just didn't change. It was the same flat, dull story where nothing really happened. And the lack of singing, made it feel like a mildly more dramatic K-ON! AKA it was really bad.

I wasn't really expecting the singing to be a particularly major aspect, though - what I saw/read before it started airing didn't suggest to me that it was likely to be. I just thought they were good singers.

I also still wouldn't call it really bad (6/10 from me is above average), or anything like K-On! (which I also wouldn't call really bad), although the characters were certainly cute enough. K-On! never really had anything much going on, they just sat around eating cakes; whereas this always had a clear plot and most things that happened happened in order to progress the story and move things forward, or to further develop the characters. It's just that what happened wasn't all that interesting, a lot of the time.

That said, I can easily see why someone would dislike it more than I did. I didn't think it was a bad series at all, just nowhere near as good as it should have been.

Ah, yeah. We just have different ratings then. 7/10 is average for me, anything less than that is generally bad, but to a varying degree. So Tari Tari was almost enjoyable, but it missed the mark.

P.A. Works?
Watching Hanasaku Iroha right now. If this show is comparable to it then i will watch it.
But it's sad that Tenshi is doing the BD's.

I was hoping all along it'd be the next Iroha... but no. Not even close.

Exactly my thoughts on it, not seen the last episode yet but doubt I will change my mind because both the story and characters have been pretty meh.

Hope they will learn from this and make the next anime better.
Dont know what to put here

Hanasaku Iroha would be somewhere like 7-8/10.

Good anime for me would be Ano hi mita Hana bakutachi...
I'd give it 9.5/10.

I'm trying to remember where I stopped watching the series, about episode 6??? THen waitied for the end, to find out. Okay, so it's cheating, but it beats suffering through dullness just to find out the story, which was do they make their group worth something or not.

It was so not Iroha, I did not think of it, until you guys brought it up.

Dunno, watch the first two episodes, then watch the last two, and you have it all in a nice neat nutshelll, with no boring aftertaste?

Nah, you miss out on what was, for me, the best bit of the story (the 'Sakai arc' as it were). 'Best bit' isn't necessarily saying much, but I certainly enjoyed it, at least.

Show was enjoyable. Songs were pretty nice, and I liked the characters as well. I don't have anything to complain. The show is good as it is.
