uhhh, i have heard some negative review about ICS, not sure if it is true but not taking any chances...
is migrating from GB to ICS gonna change something?
--- Quote from: mrdkreka on June 24, 2012, 03:47:28 PM ---"btw, are there any player that can play 10bit MKV 1080p?"
yes mx-player (or any other player that use an updated version of ffmeg) have support for 10-bit, but it won't play 1080p unless it have the necessary cpu power, since there isn't any hardware acceleration for 10-bit yet. So you might be able to play 1080p if you overclock your device, but I won't promise it will be enough.

uhhh, overclock...sounds like a lot of power needed and overheat...
meh, gonna wait for player that can play 10bit (click to show/hide)now i remember, MOBO can play 10bit but no subs :'( ...

well, almost all of my anime is in 1080p...waste of space try to download and store it...

What kind of negative reviews have you heard, I have only heard good things about.
yes upgrading to ICS is gonna change a lot of things. The speed improvement is huge, since it adds H/W accelerations to android smartphones, which means the UI gets faster, and apps too if they use the API for ICS. You can read more about ICS here

I'm saying that you can use mx-player that also support pretty much all subs, and it also plays 10-bit

A shame the current generations won't be enough for 1080p 10-bit then.

now im confused...some said that S2 gt-i9100/i9100g will not get JB update...
is that true? im asking this because starting next week, internet access is limited (duh, boarding school)
EDIT : my phone S2 GT-I9100G
now thinking of CM...but i dont have any knowledge in rooting and the best CM version(?) fro my phone...
so, i appreciate any help suggestion on how to root/CM version or anything else...
(click to show/hide)and don't ask me swap/change my phone...i like S3 power but didnt like its design...S2 design is what i want...although, if for anime-10bit sake, i will think over to S3

Not sure but I wouldn't doubt it because apparently updating the OS regularly is an impossible task for anyone who isn't google
