Heh. This anime got butchered really hard. I can tell where they fucked up, at least in every scene they did. Oh well, I might lose interest and just play the VN.
Does Kurugaya's story get revealed too, or no?

Kurugaya's doesn't get revealed in the series, no. That's because her route plays a fundamental role in the development of the main plotline, which they have only barely touched upon in the first season. I'm pretty sure it's also recommended you do her route last or close to last in the game too, because it's so important to the overall story.

I played it first, and it definitely made absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever, yeah. But I got very bored before I came even close to unlocking Rin 2, so I never saw the full story - it presumably makes more sense once you've played that.

It suggests to play her route after Rin1 and Rin1 is the second to play, after Ko- ... Komari? I think her name was.
Waaah .... I hope she gets something in Refrain TV series. Masato and Kurugaya are my favorite! I want to see Sasami as well.
Edit -- While we're at it, I did go back to Little Busters VN per your recommendation, Ozza. There are a lot of fillers here and there but I enjoy the battles and baseball practice and those little weird events that happen. That baseball practice game is hella fun.
