Little Buster's VN was fully translated?
The original game is, the h-scenes and the extra routes introduced in the ecstasy edition are not.

I haven't seen any of the videos yet and only played like 20% of the VN LOL

The hentai is for the fappers since the storyboard did not receive anything new far as I can see. I wholeheartedly hope they will not even make a slight echii motif in the anime as that will most likely push me away from it, well, as much as was in Clannad I can accept, but anything more is just NO.

KEY better not change their image in anime for the worse.

They will do fine, im sure. Though i think the ecstasy added a significant amount to the story, three more more routes to the original six.

I'm already downloading the original. Is the EX version getting translated?

The translators have said they will get to it eventually, I don't think they have started it quite yet though. Lets hope they get the tempo up and finish it in good time before the anime starts. You don't have to play the original to use the English patch though, it is mostly compatible with the EX version, it just leaves the new stuff untranslated.

Those 3 routes are connected with hentai scenes mainly, I hardly see them as actual routes, pure fanservice for desired characters, from what I read about it on some forums it's not even that good.

Needless to say, I still wait for an answer to a question I stated some time ago. Since no one bothered to answr I will make a change to it:

Placing bet:
How many buckets you will cry during the anime?

A : I will not cry!
B : I'm a MAN! I WILL SHED MANLY TEARS! but just a few !
C : I need a bucket and a water bottle!
D : I shall make an exception and use 2 buckets !
E : I WILL NOT ADMIT BEING EMOTIONAL !

Well, I haven't played any of the routes in the EX version all the way through yet, but from what I played of the Saya it seems serious enough. Either way, as to how much I'll cry? I'm not sure, I cried atleast 5 times or so when watching Clannad for the first time, but only once in Angel Beats, and none in Kanon. I do doubt that ill be able to refrain from crying at all, even though I do know how the routes end in the game, but I'm thinking it can't possibly be as bad as Clannad.
Ill go with option B for now, until i finish up the game again. Somehow, I am more emotional now than i was when i finished the original game two years ago.

Well, it's official: it won't be KyoAni or even PA Works who'll be animating this. They decided to go with J.C.Staff.

Wow ... that's very sad. Why the fuck are they going with J.C.Staff?!

Maybe they want to improve their reputation ?

I mean, J.C.Staff are good when they are serious, but they are serious not very often.

They're not even close to KyoAni and P.A.Works.

Well, let's just hope they don't dissect the plot and everything should be fine.

Damn, that's annoying. I'm sure J. C. Staff will still do a reasonable job, they're not a bad studio by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think they'll be able to do it justice in the same way that KyoAni or even PA Works would have been able to.

Hopefully they won't try and butcher it too much. If they stick as close to the original as possible, its very unlikely the end result will be anything but good, so I suppose it's not a total loss. It is a real shame though.

I think PA Works would be overkill, and we got used to KyoAni, but like I said, when J.C.Staff do their job properly, they are quite successful.

Why is that many people are negative about J.C.Staff producing this Anime? Is it because they never did a VN-to-Anime adaptation before? I personally like a lot of their works.  :-[

Just to make things clear, I don't care who does it, as I'm sure they'll do a good job, knowing that the people at Key make sure it goes the way they would like it to. Besides, I've never played the VN, so I'm not as pessimistic as a lot of LB fans seem to be.

And the reason J.C. Staff get so much flak is because a lot of people claim they've released a vast quantity of inferior shows (I liked most of their work, though) and tend to butcher the original source (which isn't even their fault at all, but that of the writers, who in pretty much every occasion didn't work for the animation studio in the first place).

Terrible Animation producers for Key's masterpiece. They need to replace half their crappy old staff. They're not even close to P.A.Works or KyoAni. Hell, if ufotable did this it would receive 100/10 on Art, Design & Animation.

We'll see how it goes. I'd love to see some comparison between Angel Beats vs. Little Busters. What a disaster to even think about it ...

The only problem with AB is that it was too short. Had they made it a 2-cour show, I think it would've been a lot better.

AB was just fine until the last arc, after that it was rushed, i don't think it was that bad though, everything was explained so I don't know what else they could add there. Perhaps prolonged all the arcs and adding some more victims to Otonashi's scheme, but then it would be tedious. Perhaps 15 episodes would be more satisfying.

I am still going to remain skeptical though. i like being positively surprised.
