I didn't play the game, but I think that Rin in game looks more Key-ish than in anime.

Episode 3 has aired, and Kurugaya has shown to be a VERY interesting character. She's very smart, beautiful and can stand her own in a one-on-one fight, as Masato found out first-hand. And Riki has already caught her attention.

I noticed that Yui Horie's voice for Riki is getting better. Where he had a very girly voice in episode 1, he sounds more boyish now. Either that, or I just got used to it.

the battles are very funny. ppl start throwing stuff and they have to use what they catch lol. soap for example, not a good weapon, but reasonable for someone to throw. katana, however, i was like 'who the heck threw that?!?!' and then she says it's not real, but it was still pretty shocking.

Loved the VN but only did one route because Kurugaya was the only chick that didnt annoy me (Rin had her moments though) and I really dont like tragedy so didnt want to torture myself with doing every route. Love how faithful the anime is to the VN and all the random silly things make it pretty funny if you read the VN but will probably make it kinda weird for people that didnt.

Enjoyable so far and will probably continue watching until sad stuff because Kurugaya is awesome

The original game was nothing special - basically very generic eroge stuff, with none of the emotional drama that made previous Key games amazing. This anime has basically the same feel, without dragging on for far too long like eroge do, so it could be argued to be an improvement. On the other hand, some of the voice acting in the game was superb (Saigusa!), but is crap in the anime - so it pretty much breaks even.

In other words: So far, so mediocre. I'll definitely keep watching it though to see how it develops, since I didn't have enough interest to play more than a couple of routes in the game.

EDIT: Actually, what annoys me about Saigusa in the anime, more than the voice acting, is that she just comes across as being an annoying retarded idiot, as opposed to being deliberately funny.

I say eroge since it's apparently rated 18+, but I have yet to see any porn of any kind (or anything to justify that age rating), so there's probably not going to be any super sexy time, I'm afraid. A bad end could be fun though.

EDIT: I have a feeling there is porn, but only in the extra bits added in the expanded version - but since you have to complete the game to unlock those, and I really don't care enough to do so, I don't actually know.

This anime is indeed getting better now, however I still doubt it will turn out to be a masterpiece like Clannad.
Though I really have high hopes of it.

really? every episode I watch I just facepalm for 20 minutes and when its done I want to demand my 20 minutes back from someone. . .yet I download the next episode when it comes out. . .just because Mazui are my homies

Woah, woah. First of all, the eroge was released after the all ages version. Plus, if you haven't finished the VN, there is absolutely no way you could judge it because all the epic stuff happens in the last arc, Refrain. It's currently and probably will always be one of my favourite VNs ever played. It gets better later, right now they are doing the introducing and such that pretty much all anime do in the first few episodes. Just think of it akin to Steins;Gate. Everything that happens right now seem a little boring, but it's extremely important for setting up everything to come. Make sure to pay attention to every little detail, or you may miss something important.

I actually feel kind of offended reading these comments. Jesus. Just you wait. You guys will eat your words.

I think people need to grow some patience and not expect everything to be thrown at them in the first 3 episodes. I've read comments by VN players who stated to have played this game for 50+ hours. If each arc starts in pretty much the same way, and a lot of the good stuff doesn't come till way later, why can people sit through that and not get bored, yet can't sit through an anime that condenses all these storylines into one, and is much, much shorter (including any season that may come after it), relatively speaking?

And even those that haven't played the game, and watched stuff like Clannad (which also took a full season to have anything of significance happen, but where each of the girls' stories had some connection to the overall plot), why is anyone surprised that the LB anime takes such a long time to get really serious?
