PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale [what? ...]

Sony’s rumoured brawler may be called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Similar to Super Smash Brothers, except the characters are from Sony's exclusive games ... I hope the game's name is not official, sounds stupid IMO.

I'm not sure I care for the premise, to be honest. Nintendo characters I think fit together better than disparate Sony exclusives.

They can't approach the plot/story very seriously, it can be something like how Twisted Metal's grand prize for one winner is. I don't know, I can't comment until I see some game play and the characters they're going to put in the game.

BTW, Nintendo fans are rabid. They are saying that this is a copy and a clone. DUH, no shit it's a copy/clone! At least Playstation owners can now play this excellent game play style (and may actually even support up to 7 people duking it out since the PS3 can support that many players).

I see what you mean, buddy. But I think they could pull it off fine if they gave all the characters a unified, cartoon look. Like in Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

I'm not gonna lie, I love playing smash all the time... but when my friends and I try to play Brawl, we have to use 3 GameCube controllers and one person gets boned to use the Wiimote. I'm fine while playing with the Wiimote, but coming from Blazblu from the PS3... the Wiimote just isn't enough (the GC controller is fine, but PS3's D-pad is amazing for pulling off chain attacks).

So to all the people (I'm mainly talking to the haters on youtube) who think that this game will suck... LOL... the exact same game is on the Wii and trust me: it should* be just as awesome.

BTW, I strongly encourage MS to do the same thing with their gaming platform. OH WAIT... They only have Halo and Gears of War.** XD

* This statement is based purely on how the game looks and the premise. I have faith that the game will be as good, if not better than Smash... seeing as how a lot of those fighter genre fans will salivate all over this.

PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale out this holiday. Video inside with gameplay. The background is super bad ass. Hades from God of War series is cool. Nice action, can't believe they added Fat Princess from it. I wish they would get rights for Fate series and add Saber in there (lmao). But ... you can tell this game is far from finished. Needs more work, not impressed with the graphics. Don't like the "highlights" on characters (VERY ANNOYING) and the UI needs to be redesigned - looks stupid.

I think the highlights are there so that people can see their characters versus the background. Simple gamma level adjustments and the highlights are pointless. Honestly, if they released with this level of graphics, I would be in heaven... cause it looks better than Smash.

I do really hope they have Knock Out kills (like bashing someone off the level)... The most satisfying thing in Smash was when I would Super Smash 1 or 2 people with Toon Link. There are so many obvious characters that will be in the game. Cloud, Sephiroth, Spyro, Wander (SoTC and I bet his "Down A" move is awesome), Crash Bandicoot, main character from Demon Souls, and Solid Snake will all likely be in the game. Funny, because Snake was in Smash too. XD

(Oh, and Down Arrow + A was great! I would just pogo stick my way off other people with my sword XD)
