Why ?
You in pro-IE camp ?

Surprisingly there are a lot of people hating IE, I'm not hating it actually, i have a personal aversion to it.
Once I finish the page and it goes actually live I will remove all the hate for IE generally. For now it's there ...

If Microsoft discarded IE and made a whole new browser it would have been working properly, probably, but as long as they stick to their old antics it's not going to be popular, it's not even popular, it's a starting browser because Windows comes out with it.

Mwa, simple and clean layout. Can't say anything bad about that :P

What you could do, is move "Welcome to my Ika Musume Fansite" out of the iframe (or towards the Header, you mentoined already in your own post). Allows you to use fancy photosoup to make it look nicer.

Anyway, just wanted to post a grammer-nazi reply:
"Since the beggining of time!" - > Site's history page.

PS. I support the anti-IE policy o/

Good catch :)
Fixed.

I will add a proper header later on, i'm occasionally working out a nice banner that will fit the background color and blend in with the layout smoothly. It might need to load for a few secs but it will take up to 3-4 secs and the transition should be pretty smooth. That's when the welcome sign will vanish as the proper welcome will be in the header.

I'm particularly happy with how side menu is working well so far, since the gallery is fairly big and additional section could be fairly large as well in height having it in constant place makes it this much easier to navigate.

I'm preparing a new segment as well which will most likely break down IE browsers, I think they won't be able to display the site properly, but that is simply because IE is not handling the prepared content properly so it's either going to be completely messed up or just fucked up.

I'd like some field testing done on the comments, so if you can, just use it there.

Hmm, I won't stop hating it but it doesn't actually work against me.
I actually started working with a side project for someone now, if I pass this project they will hire me part time :)

They seen my site, although it's lulzy it actually does what it's designed for and that's what matters :)

With the hate you have generated across space and time the only help you are going to get is how to bring it down faster.

I like the sound of this.

anyway, without any hard feelings your color choice is shitty. (green, yellow, red on blue, wtf)
but i won't give any suggestions. it's not like you'll listen or you need my help, you're an expert in colors after all.

While we're on about colors, it generally reduces down to

avoid pale foreground (including gray) on pale background;
avoid high difference in color intensities between fore- and background.
(also, overall theme revolves around one or two colors)

That's basically what I did when I was regenerating buffered images in my high school Java card game (and it looked sick ;D).

And the latest Internet Explorer is still crap. It lags like hell on me even with just three tabs open.

Like I explained in the OP, if you have suggestions regarding colors, use hash since i'm colorblind.

Text colors will change for the final version, but for now it's still a project so take it as far as suggest things, and as easy as knowing that it's still a project in work.

I don't think I have color differences in the backgrounds right now, it all seems to blend together rather nicely.

lol That was just a general guideline about foreground on background. BG to BG is something else completely.

It'll change, though it's a default one. I think, haven't checked lately :)

I don't do anything particularly outstanding, but here is a little site I have worked on for a while now:
LINK

I look forward to what you do though, as my site is really basic and not really designed to be as fully
featured as yours. Looks like fun! Good luck! ;)

I believe you can find it under my signature and in my profile already, not that you tried looking for it there or read the first post, I would never accuse you of paying attention.

Currently the overall color choices blend well, especially on the new background image ;).
Site appears to work on FF BTW.

Blue shadow on dark red text seems to make the legal disclaimer blurry, but of course that might be just me.

I'm actually kind of happy of that effect, seems unique, i'll change it's main font later, maybe i'll even make it more epic.

I'm going to experiment with making it more dimensional, maybe i'll be able to make it a proper engravement with a 3D effect on 2D platform, could be pretty damn cool.

Background choice was on the fly, shading added cuz I didn't want to change the font color from white to black/dark blue/purple. I would have prefer it staying white but the background is fairly bright so white wouldn't work properly, adding the shade made it exactly how I feel it would look good.

White and Blue colors work just excellent with this site theme.

Because Microsoft has a history of being horrible at following industry standards.
Believe it or not, Microsoft is the standard for personal computing.
