LOL. I remember myself lurking 'round the internet, trying to gather as much information as I can about my favorite anime because I cannot afford to get myself an original copy with English subs (I was only in elementary back, then I think?); nor there were any sites that stream or host it. Fortunately, there were a lot, and I mean a damn lot of informative fansites back then. I think, that may actually be the reason I thought the interwebs seemed larger before.
Forums back then were REALLY active too.
Nostalgia.

Interesting, as an elementary schooler you went after Angel Sanctuary ?
In elementary school I was after Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Saint Saiya, some football anime whose name I can't remember and that kind of stuff and Super Pig.
I had not thought about stuff that were shown in Angel Sanctuary at that age ... yet.

Young People :)
When I was in elementary School there was no access to the internet. If you wanted to contact another computer you used a modem with an acoustic coupler.

I was 11 when this film came out.

I remember going to the public libraries (for the Internet of course) whenever I had the chance, playing random stuff on the PCs and Pokemon Crater....
Also messed with the sign up sheet one time to 'book' 5 hours straight (*evil laugh*).

Yes, I was 11 or 12 back then? Sailor Moon and Pokemon were something I watched when I was in . . . I think, 2nd or 3rd grade? It was really fun; but the first anime I have watched was A Dog of Flanders and then Ie Naki Ko and Princess Sarah? It was dubbed in our vernacular so it was really enjoyable for me as a kid. Oh yeah! And GEORGIE too! ;D
Angel Sanctuary is an anime I came across when I was searching for wallpapers in animewallpapers.com :P
I never got to watch/read it until I was in high school. All I did was look for gen about it.

Good for you. I really got into reading books when I was in high school. I was so fascinated by Anne Rice. Games, on the other hand were something I really burned my time with since SEGA came out until the era of the PlayStations. XD
NaRu:
You are doing what most people do online. They use facebook, look at youtube videos, and watch porn.

I watched hello-kitty for the bishonen, instead that type of franchise was dominated by dark kitty? Precure took that plushie transformation ridiculousness up to 11.
