you're only isolating yourself in facebook and torrent sites, thats your problem.

theres a crap ton of other games floating around the internet, a huge majority of them are junk but what? 1% of a million is still thousands, as if you'd be able to manage to play all that.

and this is only one part of the internet, theres social websites, chat sites, online-market, auction sites, forums, review sites, torrent sites, and the list goes on plus it's growing by the minute.

theres also underground websites thats practically hundreds of folds larger than the surface internet, this includes porns, military sites, government sites, illegal sites, torrent sites even.

Now that all just depends on your interest. I'm in the military I'm actually at drill now trying to look productive (we know better) and can tell you all military sites are crap or leading. Into crap that's just a bit important (why do you need my social to check my email?) Review sites are more of a glance not worth several hours. Porn is always welcome until you run out of lotion. Social networks are all the same I'm sure you have the same people on your facebook that was once on your MySpace. Now any illegal sites you wanna link me to please by all means pm me ^_^. Look I'm not tryna say anyone is wrong but you gotta give me something to work with.

Who among you guys miss the feeling of being so darn desperate to watch a specific anime, let's say Angel Sanctuary, which you only knew through fansites; but you just can't find any site streaming it or hosting it for DDL? LOL. I remember myself lurking 'round the internet, trying to gather as much information as I can about my favorite anime because I cannot afford to get myself an original copy with English subs (I was only in elementary back, then I think?); nor there were any sites that stream or host it. Fortunately, there were a lot, and I mean a damn lot of informative fansites back then. I think, that may actually be the reason I thought the interwebs seemed larger before.

Forums back then were REALLY active too.

Nostalgia.
Interesting, as an elementary schooler you went after Angel Sanctuary ?
In elementary school I was after Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Saint Saiya, some football anime whose name I can't remember and that kind of stuff and Super Pig.
I had not thought about stuff that were shown in Angel Sanctuary at that age ... yet.

I spent most my internet days looking for all anime just trying to see it all. Needless to say seeing Bible black was an eye opener.

When I was in elementary School there was no access to the internet. If you wanted to contact another computer you used a modem with an acoustic coupler.

I remember going to the public libraries (for the Internet of course) whenever I had the chance, playing random stuff on the PCs and Pokemon Crater....
Also messed with the sign up sheet one time to 'book' 5 hours straight (*evil laugh*).

Yes, I was 11 or 12 back then? Sailor Moon and Pokemon were something I watched when I was in . . . I think, 2nd or 3rd grade? It was really fun; but the first anime I have watched was A Dog of Flanders and then Ie Naki Ko and Princess Sarah? It was dubbed in our vernacular so it was really enjoyable for me as a kid. Oh yeah! And GEORGIE too! ;D

Angel Sanctuary is an anime I came across when I was searching for wallpapers in animewallpapers.com :P
I never got to watch/read it until I was in high school. All I did was look for gen about it.

Good for you. I really got into reading books when I was in  high school. I was so fascinated by Anne Rice. Games, on the other hand were something I really burned my time with since SEGA came out until the era of the PlayStations. XD

I watched hello-kitty for the bishonen, instead that type of franchise was dominated by dark kitty? Precure took that plushie transformation ridiculousness up to 11.

I spent most my internet days looking for all anime just trying to see it all. Needless to say seeing Bible black was an eye opener.

Heh i was young back then thinking i could watch all of the anime in 2 or 3 years, oh shiat how wrong i was. It's been what 8 years now?
Did you know Satan was supposedly gods RIGHT HAND MAN, not his left. Blows your theory out of the water now doesn't it.

Ha well like you said they're is alot of anime out there though I ran across some that ended up wasting more time then making my time enjoyable but thats the fun of looking for it I guess.

I know what you mean I filled up my 1TB and my 2TB is on its last bytes so I'm about to buy a 3TB and move everything up one drive. So all my anime will be on my 2TB

The problem isn't the internet, it's you.
It sounds like the only things that interest you besides fooling around on FB are anime or video games.

The internet is a place to discover and research new interests, not just old ones.

I read a lot on internet, lots of cool articles about new scientific discoveries. Much more enjoyable than around 10 years ago when you had to browse though porn to find something of intellectual use.

Without porn, the internet would've never been this successful.  ;)

@deadskin: True that. But I think you can also get a lot of wrong impressions over the internet... for example anime.

Ha well your only looking at what I used as an example. I have plenty of interest that's non-anime and game related to the internet. Look everyone knows the internet is best for looking up information and such so lets just say news. News is only good if it effects you. People don't look for things that don't interest them. Hopefully everyone else have interest outside the internet such as sports, movies, drawing or whatever. The internet is best for tutorials and things of that nature but when it come down to it it seems smaller. I'm a member to over a 100 different forums which I'm sure alot of you are but how many of you go to those sites. How often are you lookin at non-creditable news sites now one look for news that's false. As I said before porn is porn so that never get old I was just stating that in the whole of the internet all sites fit into categories and within those only a handful is worth while. Going to dead sites are a waste of time and social networks your friends aren't apart of aren't cool. As or chat rooms as some one listed are limited to the volume of people in it and how much conversation is goin towards what your willing to talk about. In the end I'm just saying major sites which everyone goes to make up the internet making it alot smaller. To clarify I said the internet is getting smaller not becoming dead.

People don't look for things that don't interest them.
That's the wrong attitude.
The internet only seems smaller to you because you've confined yourself to a very small corner (a very specific set of tastes) while the rest of the net expands exponentially.

Ha why would I want one of those? How can I get my pasty skin the way I like it with that kind of attitude? Though your sarcasm is much appreciated.

Maybe you should spice them up a notch. Apparently pornography would do the trick.
