She went back because she couldn't find job here. Norway apparently doesn't have that high demand for chemists, so the competition to get a job in that field was hard. So in theory we didn't break up, but because we know that long distance relationships never work, practically we broke up after all.

I have no real problem with not getting married and not having kids. I like myself now and will probably like myself forever without all that jazz.

AND... I got a new job. Im not teaching at the moment, Im like a counsellor for International Students at a college. They dont puke or cry much. Its not too shabby. Much better than kindergarten.

We had a few like that, but apart from potential independence and 'leaving the comfort zone' issues it doesn't seem that bad. I mean, take a friend who will hit on anything with a pulse and throw in a room full of drunk teachers; by comparison simply having little life experience is nothing compared to waking up to the woman that once taught you French.
