Think, or feel?

I mostly agree with this, especially since I think it's all wrong anyways...
First off: Mankind has always and will always be the greatest danger to mankind (imo cuz of the almost complete lack of empathy is almost everyone, but I digress)
Second: Calling the human mind "too powerful and dangerous" is like saying "this computer's cpu is so fast that its dangerous". Sure, that power could be put to dangerous uses, but the users should be judged, not the tool. Which would be the "feel" shit they're talking about. Humans feelings are almost always what govern the usage of our minds, which would imply that human's feelings are too powerful and dangerous opposed to the mind.
Third: Training your mind is a much more substantiatable (ha firefox doesn't recognize this as being a real word) method than "training your feelings" people arent gonna go to college to attain emotional mastery, not only does that sound dumb, but where would you even start? Monk training? So sure keep in mind that you're capable of more than just thinking, but as Ace stated, every process in the human body is run from those thoughts that "are just a very small and temporary part of us"
I also find that site lol, thinking about shit you dont need to bother thinking about is cool and all, but how bout putting your minds to more realistic goals? you know like something that people might actually benefit from? Philosophy is probably the most worthless human invention, right next to religion(or the same thing depending on how you look at it)

No matter how much you ask for other people's opinions, you just won't find the REAL TRUTH. All you'll ever find is your self-serving "truth" regarding "truth," but that is if you're lucky. If you're not, then you will only be back to square one; and end up having even MORE questions that most cannot be answered at all.
Point here is, no matter how much the Christians or any religions preach, no matter how much Philosophy books you read, you can never find the real truth; for "we" are only offered half truths that may serve as roots for all our "nothing but conjectures." There's no real fact. Everything's an opinion. Reality is distorted, it's too malleable.
I hope I made sense, I don't really wanna write some tl;dr, so . . . I'm giving you the gist of the gist.
And just to add, always remember this quote from a favorite author of mine . . .
"To really ask is to open the door to the whirlwind."
--- End quote ---
Prove me that 1+1 =/= 2 in a real number system.

I can't, that's why I said what I said. How sure are all of us that two is two? One is one and so on and so fort. Our existence hasn't been proven anyway, despite whatever someone's "Cogito ergo sum" blabber says; well I do agree with that, but maybe my mind's just playin' tricks on me. LOL.
Plus, don't just go believin' what I say. After all, just like what I was implying before, "There is no absolute truth," tho "There's always an exception to every rule." Is this even credible? Real? I don't know.
I am a bit of a skeptic here.
AceHigh:
So you don't trust your perception then.
elvikun:
Once words like "the ultimate truth" and "the real truth" are used, something is about to get very chaotic.
If you overdo it, you'll come to conclusions like "the only way to prove you are alive and exist is to die".
But I'm sure we all agree that you all exist just in my mind.
But seriously, to the OP, I'm not so sure what are you suggesting. Discontinue education to make mids of the next generations less dangerous?
And yeah, Humankind is the worst enemy of humankind, all other living things, the nature itself, the planet itself and potentially the whole solar system. Always was. It's just getting a bit more evident over the time.
