Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo

Tatsujin:
Somehow everyone is off the grid of what has happened in the last episode - as if we're not really hoping for anything like a second season to fulfill our desires. Remember that Shiina and her classmates are going to be Seniors if a second season arises, so we can expect a conclusion to all of this. But the most important thing I enjoyed is Coming of Age which plays a very, very large part. Things keep moving forward, not staying stall or move backwards. This, to me, is very important and I very much enjoyed all of it till the end of it. Another thing I'd like to add is I'd rather explore the series than to expect a specific ending - I want to enjoy it the way it was made, at least it wasn't a disastrous ending like School Days or Dream Eater (whatever her name is).

Has anyone found out what's going on with the very low ratings? You can find all the reviews on Amazon.co.jp under the BD/DVD sections.

i think the start of this may have made many people drop it before it got good. it did look like a very typical harem comedy through the first few episodes, which may explain low ratings.

and i like the way it ended, not saying it was bad that it left us hanging or anything. i think anime does that skillfully, you get a taste of what you want at the end so you want more, whereas if they had actually made it happen earlier there wouldnt have really been much more to look forward to.

I just had a quick look at the reviews of the first bluray box on Amazon, and they seem very petty. I read the first three, then 2 more at random, and all of them gave it one or two stars because apparently the anime replaced some scene from the original involving hot washing up water with something involving 'weird' Korean food. I have no idea what scene they're referring to though. A couple also talked about changes from the original script in general, but most were literally just complaining about the Korean food. Seriously.

It's quite depressing to think that we might never see a season two purely because Japanese otaku didn't like one scene that was changed. This was never an outstanding show, but it was really very enjoyable, especially towards the end.

So they changed the TV versions to Korean food, or via versa?

They changed the anime to korean food, yeah. Apparently it replaced a scene in the original work (I can't remember if it's a manga, LN, or what) that somehow involved washing up water, but I don't know any more details than that.
