The hell, concrete on the first floor, what genius thought that was a good idea? :/

Are you a civil engineer? If not then I don't know as well.

Well there're decent wireless display products available now.
Adapters on both end, hook them up, get good wireless keyboard and mouse as well, everything you can do remotely.
I tell you what though, the PS3 controller has quite the range, I was able to control my music playback from the toilet to my PS3, that's at least 10 meters with concrete in between.

Step One: Plug your computer into your TV.
Step Two: There is no step two.

I agree with this. I never understand why people go out of there way to convert/change/destroy/rebuild video files into something a very limit piece of hardware could play on a TV screen. Just connect your PC to the TV. If you can't for any reason get a cheap PC and use that instead. Most laptop have HDMI out on it so why not use your laptop if you have one. You save on pain killers in the long run trying to get the right kind of conversion for your video files.

Doesn't the possibility that 10-bit may soon be gone and replaced with something new make a full HTPC more attractive? There are many possibilities that fansubbers might throw at you - a full HTPC would more likely be able to handle these than an ION system.

i guess we like the roundabout way lol

but tbh i didnt like how it looked when i hooked my laptop to my tv a couple years ago so i gave up on the idea (color were to bright, eyebleeding and barely readable)

hmm, maybe ill give it another chance just will need another hdmi tho
