Still was a fun episode especially the part when Chiquita punching and kicking Kasper's seat due to Jonah leaving their team

Not really the best ending ever but better than making some bullshit no one would like anyway, would be great if we could see more Jormungand in the future because I really loved the characters.

Quote from: vale of gg
Everything will be back in order once I get back to Japan by the start of the new season (4-5th of January), until then brace yourselves for massive delays (unless nice people fill in for me).
I think I'll wait. Just marathoned what gg released of the second season. So I should be okay for a couple of days before I start craving for more Jormungand awesomeness.

The second season is about as good as the first season, IMO. There's some good background stories on Willie and even Lehm. Tojo and R. The episode kind of focusing on Kasper and Jonah was unneeded. Didn't we cover this in the first season?

It's a very confusing show sometimes since there are so many agencies and characters involved. And it definitely didn't help that the show took a break for so long. Also, nice to finally get introduced to why the show is called Jormungand.

Also, Hex, Valmet and Chiquita ftw.

I doubt more is to come. The manga itself only has 11 volumes and the first season pretty much covered the first half.
Wow, it could be cool if the anime actually animates the entire manga. I guess a short serialization really lends itself to that kind of adaptation though. Just nice not having to go on to the manga afterwards.

S1 was really good, I'm on S2 around episode 22. S2 wasn't as good as I would've liked it to be - less animation in their actions, Hex got killed way too soon (she was very perfect to be one of the ending villains), less ecchi, and the director/author don't understand what "God" is which misleads Koko to presuming she's above God. That's just silly how people think so lowly of their own imaginative "God". Just pointing out my opinion ... I simply don't feel the excitement in the second season right at that point.

Yup, really expected her to hang around for more of this seaon.

Pretty underwhelming finale. Definitely expected more. Jonah makes what kind of excuse to return to Koko? And we don't even see the effects of Jormungand? Definitely needs to come back for whatever is remaining of the manga.

Or the two years he spanned with Koko's brother (forgot his name). I was SO interested in that.

WTB S3.

I was one of those waiting for gg subs to release the final 2 eps. While waiting I had this thought in my mind that bothered me for a while, however when seeing the conversation between Casper and Koko I had that "fuck yeah, exactly!" kind of feeling when he told her about him being able to sell weapons anyway.

Basically if the main plot is about eliminating war, then Casper is the guy I agree with 100%. I also thought that removing airforce would just cause low tech wars instead. Koko was naive in my opinion.

Anyway I enjoyed the series although the ending was also disappointing, I guess Jonah did not learn anything during his 2 years with Casper if he joined Koko so easily again.

Stupid Jonah. Should've pulled the trigger when he had the chance, now they have to fight the dirty battles instead of using death from above.

Impossible, he was watched by Lehm who's keen perception would notice the moment he would about to pull the trigger, killing him first. I have seen enough episodes to see that Jonah is skilled, but still an amateur compared to some older members.

The ending is pure bullshit. That's all there is to it. What happened with Casper? What did he learn? And I wanted to see scenes with Jonah and Casper's bodyguard (that female). What did he learn, what did he achieve? I mean, fuck ... 700+ days can have a lot of impact. But for some odd reason they made it seem like nothing. There's still room for growth if they do decide to make a S3 (and freaking fill the loop holes of those 2 years).

There won't be a S3 not unless the mangaka themselves agrees to it. The end of vol 10 has Jonah aimed at Koko.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

So I finally got around to reading this. Only to find out that the last 3 volumes are not translated, the fuck?

So it looks like Dmon is the one to go for? Kind of want to wait for the english dub too but sometime this winter is a little too random.

I wonder how epic the firefight would be if the pirates that attacked them would just happen to be the black lagoon company.
This would be so worth seeing.  ;D

PS. FRDF are not even professional soldies, so fail there by the mangaka.  :P

Finished the perfect order at last, they changed some of the stories around from the manga but no big chances to the stories themselves. Good adaptation, hated the CGI as usual.

Couldn't  stop facepalming at the last few episodes.
(click to show/hide)
But it was nice to have a story of the supervillain for once. So THIS is how the evil masterminds come to be in the first place. Even has her elite cadre and the crazy minions all down to the loco scientists. And to top it off it's a shotacon supervillain with delusions of grandeur and teen drama hate for the world. Just perfect recipe. Now we only need the hero series about the team to fight their way through all these challenges to set things right. :P

Random notes during the series.
- Chequita, the mamma bear, has totally idopted Jonah as her own bear cub, so cute. BTW, she's probably around fifty by now.
- And Sophia would be 45 or so
- Coco 28-30, same age as Minami and not surprisingly the rabbitfoot too. Am I seeing a pattern here? Now only that Blonde Babu needs to be around that, too little info though.
- Lehm would be around 55 btw.
- Willee just under 40 assuming he was speaking the truth about his low experience in Gulf War

But how old is Jonah supposed to be? A total mystery, he knows nothing of women, so what, 10? Way too low, assume japanese virgin mentality for writers, 12? So 15 in the last ep? His ability to not grow at all confuses me though.
