Any seasoned Gundam Model builders out there? Looking for airbrushing advice!

(1/1)

Lightss:
I've been build gundam models since I was in elementry school, always loved it but I have never been that serious. I would just ask for a few on birthdays and such, never painted them or did much of anything to make them look nice. I found a few I completed some years ago and decided I want to touch them up! I've been meaning to get an airbrush for some time now so learning how to use one on some old plastic model kits seems like a good way to learn.

There's a bunch of guides out there, I just want to make sure I order everything I need before I go through with it (gotta love amazon, they have everything!). I already have quite the extensive paint collection, more than enough acrylics and other types of paint to get started with. All I really need to invest in is an Airbrush and related materials, being a complete noob at airbrushs I thought this would be a good place to ask.

This is the Kit I plan on ordering from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TO578Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A23ADOZFIJNPFB

It comes with a compressor and seems to have decent review considering it's low price tag. Not looking for the best here, don't want to spend all my tax returns on this :p I was just wondering if there is anything else I need to get started? I have plenty of syrniges I use for printer ink replacement that I can use to measure paint mixtures, top coat, various grades of sandpaper, mediums/thinners/varnishes, and dozens of paintbrushes already. From what I read it seems with all of that I should be able to start using the airbrush without having to order much else. It seems there are a few cleaning stations, are these worth purchasing? I have a habit of buying things I don't really need on inpulse so I'm trying to go against that for once haha.

Any advice from a fellow artist will be more than appreciated! Thanks in advance :]

And a good friend indeed. I've read most of those links/articles, but I always like to get a personal opinion before I spend my money on something I'm not familiar with.
