Games you wish hadn't sucked.
Saras:
We all have some of these.
Simply bad games aren't exactly rare, it's even rarer for it to surprise you with it's shitiness(shovel-ware or movie tie-ins come to mind). However, from time to time, you come across stuff that you wish were good and enjoyable. Does this, perhaps, summon into mind something you'd wish to share?
My most recent one is probably Chantelise. The sister, or perhaps more fittingly the parent, game to Recettear. I've loved Recettear and wished for Chatelise to be just as good. The first signs were excellent. It seemed to be a cute dungeon crawler with a similar sense of humour to the Airhead and Scrooge McFairy duo, very much what I had expected. However, then it came. The god awful piece of faeces that was the camera. Why would you design it to behave like this? It seemed to be the work of a madman, someone mad as a hatter. Not a genius thought a fool, but someone who had been sniffing glue for years. It broke it for me, I can't bring myself to get in more than past the first boss fight, even thought I want to so much.

Star Wars Episode III....
No, I mean the game. I absolutely adored it and it was so much fun yet it got a shitty scores on media websites.
As for a game that ACTUALLY sucked, GRAW 2 did. The first GRAW was awesome in every which way... just the multiplayer in GRAW 2 didn't live up. That's why I'm excited for GR:FS because it really looks like I'll have fun like in the original GR games.
Garret02:
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core - TERRIBLE storyline and characters and boring gameplay.
Victoria II - well, to tell the truth I didn't play it yet but from the various forum posts I think it's not good.
EmptyMemory:
Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
Holy fuck.
blubart:
Sword of the Stars 2 - it's 6 month after release and the game just reached beta-niveau playability.
i probably should've known better considering how SotS 1 worked out, but at least there the general structure of the game worked. in SotS 2 it seems like 4 different teams worked on fringe-elements of the game, only to come together a week before release realizing that non of the other groups were in charge of creating the actual game.
