Hopefully this will be their last and decide to overhaul their engine.

nope you are not
all call of duty games (past mw1) look like that
same engine and xbox limitation + less work to do = very easy money :D
Actually this looks less detailed than even MW2, which is why I thought that.

Hopefully this will be their last and decide to overhaul their engine.
Hopefully they'll decide to stop making CoD games :P

So what if you don't like the game? Does your opinion matter to the masses of people that will buy this game?

Even though I think a sci-fi setting is great, the genre has gotten it's own cliches over the years. The developers say that they will have sprawling storylines and parts of missions that will affect the storyline if you fail to complete it.

Anyways, for me... the story will be fun for two playthroughs (once on normal, then on hardcore). Then it's multiplayer and ZOMBIES. They said they are doing something really ambition with zombies and I can't wait to see what it is. :D

Hmm? Was that addressed to me? If so, I'm not complaining at all. I still pirate every CoD that releases for about 4 hours of ironic glee. I don't really have an opinion on the matter. What does bother me is how awful the graphics in that trailer look.

While I was hoping for a nice increase in graphics and a new engine, ultimately its all about the game play and story. I doubt there is going to be much of a change in terms of game play but that isn't necessarily a bad thing since its good enough IMO. If this game tells a story anywhere near as good as Black Ops did then I will be happy and gladly buy at launch.

I have to admit, I am a little surprised by the futuristic theme. I figured Infinity Ward would be the one who branched out into the future since they have already made three games that focused on modern warfare (no pun intended) I was hoping Black Ops 2 would do another old school war theme.

No, you didn't say anything that I thought was related to what I saying. I was aiming my comment to the general masses of commenters on youtube videos and on VG247. The graphics of the trailer weren't "stellar" (I mean come on, Starhawk looks so much better in all of it's trailers AND in actual gameplay) but remember... we are still 6+ months out from the release. I'm sure they just finished the storyline and are implementing all the assets into the campaign that this point. As for zombies/multiplayer, they will be adjusting and readjusting that for the next couple of months until the CoD event out in LA (during September/October). As for the graphics, they'll probably be like the trailer at launch if not a little smoother of gameplay. I know I'll get boned as a PS3 player and have the game run in 540p... >.>

Like I said, overall.. I think this game will be better than MW3 (cause Black Ops was even better than MW3) but it has yet to prove itself to be better than the Original. I think I've said this before, but Treyarch has surpassed IF with Black Ops... so here's to hoping for Treyarch's "MW2" moment.

I'm quite glad there is a futuristic setting, but as I said before... I would of preferred a WWII Black Ops game (ala Return to Castle Wolfenstein style... which is also owned by Activision). With the futuristic setting, we can still get cool toys to use in multiplayer... but I think zombies is still going to have it's classic "run around the map while shooting zombies" method alongside with entrenching method of Halo/Mass Effect 3's horde modes (I don't give a shit about GoW horde mode). I think this is were their "ambition" is going for. Unless they make a 16 player multiplayer game mode where everyone is on the same team and they have to fight off wave after wave of zombies on all the regular multiplayer maps. So to make the maps go by more quickly, have only one life, no revives, points acquired perks (jug, sleight of hand, double tap), only ONE perk per person (until maybe the last man standing, for which that player will automatically acquire ALL of the perks at once), and allow people to start with their own setups (aka, start with a revolver or a small PDW instead of a pistol).

And for the love of all that is holy... keep single player/4 person co-op for the zombie maps too. It's really fun to play by yourself and see how far you can get along with playing with 3 other friends. :P

2025? What the hell are they trying to be, a multi-player version of Crysis?

This upsets me, they're calling it "Black Ops II" and then jumping like...50 years from "Black Ops".
You can fuck right off Treyarch, I'll not be suckered into buying one of your games again.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

If you want it on PC... uhh... don't. PS3/Xbox will be fine. :P

Did you play Black Ops for PC? I've heard horrible things about the game and how it wasn't supported too well compared to the console versions. If you have played the PC version of Black Ops and you are satisfied with it... then BLOPS 2 should only be an improvement on the PC side.

BO isnt going to sell just to fan boys but even then i think most of them are going to be disapointed. im hopeing that trechyard makes more zombie maps hated the last one "moon"  the game was to slow while the zombies can run up to you, plus the whole group had to be on the telporter to uprade. just realy wanting more zombies. all the new stuff look wierd. i higly doubt you can end up useing any viechles unless in story mode only

It took a couple of updates to get the PC Black Ops running properly for everybody, well in the end it turned out fine.
You're just butt hurt Rizirdo that the zombie maps were much more difficult than what you expected.
Me and a couple of friends spent days trying to beat each map and it was fun, having good team work is how you beat it.

I've spent the better part of a month on Kino Der Toten and figuring out the best strategies to rake up the most points and pack a punch all the weapons. Call of the Dead was so much fun too along with Ascension!

I've finished the campaign on PC and Xbox, didn't really notice anything of the sort.
But I do remember that when I tried playing it on my previous PC right after it released, it ran at like 10 fps and caused a lot of overheating, so I gave up. A lot of people had that problem back then, but it got patched after a while.

I had two big issues with Black Ops.(Note, I played on PC)
1. The quality of gameplay, the combination of graphics, lag, hosting issues, optimization, and all that, was not as high as it was both MW 1 and 2. COD 4 was all about letting you change how you saw and played the game, and it worked wonderfully, MW2 on the other hand took the other route and let you control nothing, and it worked out well. With Black Ops it just didn't quite click I felt.

2. The community was shit. It might have just been where I lived that got me stuck with some of the worst run servers I have ever played on. Petty admins, either powertripping or doing nothing, and terrible game choices. To get a good ping, I either played hardcore team deathmatch or SnD(not a big fan of hardcore, but it has it's place), or 24/7 Nuketown which was just a clusterfuck.

In short, I had a bad time. Thus, I have no interest in BO2 at the moment, especially as MW3 pushed the limits of my old and failing computer, I think I'll wait. I probably torrent the single player, and enjoy as I'm carried through a cinematic adventure, but really that's about it.

I blame Treyarch, they've yet to do well.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.
