Dating "Deal Braker"
« on: May 03, 2012, 08:24:23 PM »
I was talking to a friend, we were talking bout girls and stuff (you know, the norm)
Anyways, he said
"i would never date a girl that wears sweats (pants) on a regular day, thats my deal braker"
We started talking bout that, and i was wondering what you guys's (and elvikun's girl's) deal brakers are?

Mine would probably be those girls that you can clearly see they dont care about themselves (appearance)
I mean im not into the whore make up, but at least a skin scrub in the shower or something...
Tht
At and extremely short hair are just del breakers

Extremely short hair can be rather attractive on certain girls. I have experienced such a realization not too long ago when a female classmate cut her hair shorter than a good deal of the males. She is much more attractive now IMHO.

Deal-Breakers for me would be:
dumb

Off the top of my head:

Smokers
Drug users
Underage girls (I'm not going to jail for anyone.)
Dumb women (if I'm interested in anything more than sex)
Women who act too much like "one of the guys"
Women that any of my close friends are already interested in or have feelings for (unless she makes a move on me first)
Women who are too insecure, too needy, or who are a little too quick to stab someone in the back.
Women who are dishonest or like to play mind games with their romantic interests.
Drama queens.

Smoking is at the top of my list as well, but I wouldn't have thought to include any other drugs... I guess I'm fairly open about such things as long as they don't stink.

Ugly/dirty fingernail
"body odor"
Yellowish teeth
"Fused" eyebrows
Slimy looking / greasy hair
Dirty ears (yes, seriously, that is just gross and so many people forget to wash that part of body)
...unattended acne

As for personality strongly religious types and people who are obviously of weaker mind, the rest needs more exploration to judge

Hmmm, able - and unreasonably willing - to speak? That's one big deal breaker when it comes to anything longer than a one night stand... ::)

Seriously though, when it comes to actual dating I'm lately finding myself having more and more deal breakers (might be that as I get older and my hormones get weaker, I simply get bitchier... and it's simply too much of a bother).
While there are several aesthetic traits I can hardly ignore (like big tits: believe it or not, anything bigger than a C cup really gives me the creeps...), I guess I'm even more unreasonable when it comes to personality. They have to be extremely smart and knowledgeable, but still be for some magical reason on the same page as me on everything from music to literature (you don't like Victor Hugo? The door is over there; you like techno music? The crocodile ditch is over here; and let's not dwell on this latest fetish of mine 'bout ponies...  ;D ).
Yet, of course, if they tend to agree 'cause they are (as it often happens given how I behave) the submissive one in the couple who tries to adapt, they are boring and as such get canned instantly.

I guess a female version of myself would be the only real feasible partner for me. We'd kill each other in less than a week of course, but...

Ugly/dirty fingernail

How about next to non-existent fingernails due to generous amount of self-cannibalism? They ain't ugly... they actually look like cute little gecko fingers, or so I've been told... :P

While I acknowledge that my personal bias may not be entirely justified, I distrust regular users of illegal drugs or recent past users.  And I don't mean someone who's smoked pot once or twice in the last couple of years or tried coke once when they were out on tour with a band.  And, again, I'm not going to jail for anyone.  I would never, ever under any circumstances permit any sort of illegal narcotics or the like in my house or in my car.  That would be one of the fastest ways to permanently end any sort of friendship or relationship with me.

If I can't hold a decent conversation for 20 minutes without feeling awkward, I don't see the point. Also, a direct genetic relative.

High maintenance attitude
tiny/flat ass
wearing high heels with jeans
way too girly

Edit:
skinny (if your arms and legs remind me of thin branches, then leave me alone)
too talkative/outgoing
sensitive (i tend to make a lot of sarcastic/insulting jokes the more I'm familiar with a person)
thinking video games and anime are for little kids

I couldn't agree with you more.
In fact, I don't like high heels at all.

Some women who have the right legs / right butt look really good in heels.

Personally, I'm not too fixated on any given physical characteristic -- for instance, one friend of mine only dates Asian women, some friends particularly like redheads or girls with piercings or tatoos, etc.  I do like women who are on the busty side, and as a general rule, I'm not attracted to women who outweigh me.

"cute little gecko fingers" - Yes, I had the feeling it was about you.
But come on, it's not so hard to not eat your fingers. Apart from looks, just imagine the amount of stuff moving from envirimoment to your mouth and from your mouth to people and things you touch  :D

Eh, what about relatively long fingernails? I always forget to trim them :P

Can't really decide what looks more crazy. Eaten-off-fingernails, or clawish ones?

But seriously you two, it doesn't take so much time to take care of fingernails and while I might be a bit obsessed with clean things, I do know that most people look at that as well. It's not the thing you notice at the first glance, but still. The worst thing is nice, good loking person with some terrible monstrosity instead of fingernails... Or, even "better", hidden under socks. That's a shocker.

Some women who have the right legs / right butt look really good in heels.
Try to wear heels once. It's fun. If you have a talent, you may be able to walk for a while without falling down or breaking one and you'll have to deal with the pain only.  :D

Oh yeah, I have no doubt that it takes talent to wear heels.  I couldn't do it even if I were inclined to try; I'd probably break my ankle.  Frankly I think women are nuts to wear heels at all, but they do look nice.

I was reminded, I also hate dumb girls. . .
and by dumb I dont mean they have to know calculus to be considered. . .
but just have the respect for science. . .
those girls that are like "OMG did you say math? EWW"  . . .they are just tards. . .

I dont mind if they are not good at math, as long as they understand that math is crucial, absolute, and useful. . .thats ok

Oh boy, elvi would hate me. I am trimming my nails with a utility knife. Miraculously I have yet to cut myself since I picked that habit.

Deal breakers for me are smokers, bimbos, messy ones, naggers and those who are aesthetically not pleasing for my personal tastes... like gingers, darker asians or blacks.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I think so too. Had them once and I think that was it for the rest of my life. But they don't even look that good in majority of cases.

I'd like to reassess my previous statement. Stupid people are stupid, sucks to be them, but it's one of those things you can't choose to be or not. But intelligent people who are hugely ignorant and/or lack "general" knowledge piss me off.

Also, how very feminist of you.

Oh boy, elvi would hate me.
I wouldn't. I'd just make sure we never touch, if it's really bad. I'm serious here, really bad fingernails gross me out.
