You know, the little jokes like this, when repeated enough, create the monsters who will sue you for holding the door.
It's like saying all christians rape kids and all muslims love to blow up in a middle of a crowd. It's just not true, but those individuals are the most famous or rather vocal, in the case of "feminists" (I stress the"").
Edit: Or rather, bitching about weathy people doesn't make you a marxist, saying you hate men doesn't make you a feminist. It just makes you stupid. It's not a good idea to judge the group and ideology based on those people. That's just randomly offending people who have nothing to do with what you hate.
AceHigh:
True, but imagine if in your examples it were the "leaders" that were radical, like Imams in Mecca advocating suicide bombing. Because popular feminist movements became like that, just like the once noble idea to protect animals turned into PETA.
Bah, maybe I can't be more sympathetic because I am from a country that already tipped over and now women have more rights... good thing the government still didn't put them on the first place. Currently it's children, women, cats and dogs and then men.
In my country women have all equal rights. The only thing left for feminists to do, is to bitch about some guy that was stupid enough to ask them out for dinner.

Well, there are simplier ways to say you're a lesbian than making tenths of hours of footage about the horrors of manhood, but again, that has nothing to do with feminism. Similar thing with paying, asking out and anything else of this sort. I fail to see how is it offensive. It's more like a compliment.
And how are rigts of men inferior to women over there? Just wondering.
I still see problems tho, such as employment in ceratin areas, even if you have better references and degrees, it's still very likely that a man will get chosen over you, because, well, he's a man.

I doubt I could date a woman who wasn't a feminist or didn't see herself fundamentally as my equal.

It's not our fault that militant lesbians use the word "feminist" as a label for advocating a gehenna against all men. It's also not our fault that since the 3 to 4 decades ago the movement of equal rights has been degenerated into a cult of word calling dumb bitches that refuse to enter any debate, but instead use media to drag people in the dirt - men and women alike who disagree with them.
Of course I want my woman to feel equal to me, but I wouldn't think twice about breaking up with someone who is in that men hating bandwagon mentality. Reminds me that my ex also hated feminists...

And... why would such a person be romantically interested in you, assuming they're as you descibed? Your long and silky hair? Your dainty manner?
I like radical feminists, I've dated a few -- they were generally smarter than me, which is a big plus.

Rights are the same, but women kept the perks and didn't take the burdens. For example a man is badly positioned when it comes to taking custody over children unless mother is some crackwhore that is deemed unsuitable as a mother. Then there is no conscription for women. It is not easy for men to take paternal leave as it is for women even though the law states that both parents should have the possibility to have equal amount paternal leave after birth. The list goes on...

And with all the affirmative action laws it is more likely that a woman with inferior qualification will get a job because the company needs to fill the quota of women. The most extreme example we had was a corporation owner who was criticized for not having any women at executive board, so his answer was "It's a family business, god gave me 2 sons but no daughters, that's why I don't have any women in that position". Feminists and politicians were not amused.
