Commute to school: Drive a few miles along the 101, go through Las Virgines Canyon, Drive a few miles down the Pacific Coast Highway, voila! At school, almost an hour later.

I used to commute over the 405/101 interchange. That shit sucked.

My commute right now: wake up at either 0530 or 0645 depending on if there's PT or not. Drive on base (about 10 minutes) from the hotel I'm staying at. If there's PT I have to be there @ 0600. After PT ends drive back to the hotel room, shower, change into my uniform and head back to base (or just head there if there wasn't PT) and be in ranks @ 0745 for muster.

14 more days and I'm heading back to SoCal for my next duty station. I can't wait.

Alarm goes at 07:00... I usually drag myself out of bed anywhere between 07:15 and 07:45 depending. During my waking up, switch on the TV to watch the breakfast news. Shower, wash up, brush my teeth prior to 08:00, at which point I get into the car, and drive for some 20 to 25 minutes before ending up at work. Only some 15 miles from my house, but trafficlights and city driving take their time.

Yep. Shore duty (so I won't be on a ship). I'm going to NBVC Point Mugu (aka NAS Point Mugu), which is about 40min from my parents' house. So I'm going from being about as far away as I can get (Japan) to being about as close as you can get.

[edit]I'm currently in Pensacola, Florida going through the FAA certified (oooh, ahhhh) DASR (a radar) and STARS (a radar video distribution and recording system) courses. AND I FUCKING HATE THIS PLACE.

I'm all about minimizing the amount of time I'm asleep.

ha ha ha, I am all about maximizing the time I am asleep.

There is nothing nice in world of a wake people, just duties and work and other unpleasant stuff like humans.

get up at 7 or 9 depending on summers or winters resp.
go far a walk of 5-6 km
come back home at 8.10 or 10 depending on season
breakfast & getting ready till 11.30
sit in front of the computer and watch anime and use forum for an hour
study at bit till 2.30
lunch
leave for my class at 3
walk to the nearest metro station which is half a km away
and check into the metro takes 5 mins
after that 10 stations in metro which  roughly takes 25 minutes :P
same way back home at 9

Oh, no. I thought the question was how your daily commute* was like, not the total amount of motion you put your body through every day.

*To travel from one's home (usually in the suburbs of a city) to one's workplace (usually in the city itself, or in another city) to go to work, or vice versa.

Wake up at 6:00 am.
Do computer stuff (various) until 6:45 am.
Shower.
Make the bed and get dressed.
Eat breakfast, make a bagged lunch.
Exit house at 7:50.
Walk down street several blocks
Cross intersection.
Walk to a long, grassy burm, getting there at 8:03 am.
Walk along the burm for 7 minutes to get to a pedestrian bridge (crossing a highway).
Take the bridge and walk along a walking/biking trail for ten minutes.
Cross the street and walk across grass, then walkway until I get to work at around 8:30 am.

Overall, it's about a 4 kilometre walk, taking around 40 minutes.
Reverse to get back home after work.

This would take too long because my day is different almost every day of the week. Where I have to go and when I have to go is always changing.

wake up at 4:45
shower until 5:30
it seems like if you showered like a man you could wake up at 6 take a 5-10 minute shower get dressed and eat and be out the door by around 630
When I was his age I used to shower until my skin got wrinkly before school (half because I would try to sleep in there) but yea, now that I am older a shower only takes like 10 minutes and I brush my teeth in there at the same time.
