AniDB | Official

Type: TV Series (?? Episodes)
Release: ??.07.2012 till ?
Genre: Fantasy, Novel, Seinen
Official Title: 人類は衰退しました
Manga: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
Light Novel: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
Original Work: Tobe Sunaho | Tanaka Romeo
Direction: Kishi Seiji
Character Design & Chief Animation Direction: Sakai Kyuuta
Animation Work: AIC A.S.T.A
Description: * Based on Tanaka Romeo's light novel series with illustrations by Yamasaki Tooru / Tobe Sunaho.

The story is set several centuries into the slow decline of mankind. Earth has now become the realm of "fairies" — 10-centimeter-tall creatures with remarkable intelligence and an appetite for sweets. The human protagonist of the story serves an important duty as the international arbitrator between the fairies and humans, and she returns to her former hometown of Kusunoki. She chose this job because she thought it was an easy job she can do, even when she is as old as her grandfather. However, she learns that her job is anything but simple when she meets the fairies.

The Animation is being handled by AIC A.S.T.A whom worked on Gun x Sword, Bamboo Blade, Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka, Sora no Otoshimono Series and Persona 4 The Animation. What's interesting, at least to me, is the Character Designer and Animation Direction is being done by a female named Sakai Kyuuta - and she worked on some amazing stuff (love her animation) like Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke o (18+ NSFW), Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Series and her two notable animation works in Steins;Gate and Sankarea. And lastly is the Director - Kishi Seiji - his notable produced work include Seto no Hanayome Series, Kamisama Dolls, Carnival Phantasm, Persona 4 The Animation and the famous Angel Beats!

From my point of view, I doubt this series is going to flop. The story kind of threw me off but the producers who are working on this made my turn-around point.

Awesome art style in that picture. Not sure how I feel about the whole fairy thing though.

You only have to hear her voice once to know it's her, especially when she uses the same voice she has given to over half of all her characters she's ever played.

Either way, this show looks to be interesting. The girl looks quite cute (especially with that long hair) and the same can be said for the fairies. I like how they're depicting mankind's darkest hours in a more lighthearted sense.

The Bread Robot.

It actually made me laugh about nearly everything I seen in this show so far, it's too lulzy to skip, those that don't watch it, should be ashamed.

Weird mix between fairy pastels and sweets and a satire of corporate culture (and possibly Kobato). I'm looking forward to more episodes to see what happens.

When I thought this show couldn't get any weirder, this episode comes along.

Apparently, there's more to our main character than just a cute girl who can mediate between humans and fairies. For one, she has sentient hair and two, she can make people crap their pants by merely smiling at them. This girl is scary.

Well, she got those hair after applying the hair growth formula in the first episode.
Come to think of it, her refusal in doing something being penalized by cutting her hair short is incredible, i guess i can see where her character comes from if the life is this harsh in their world.

Quite incredible situation, she is an orator for a reason, she is incredibly smart as well.

Also it wasn't just her smile, it seems her position and status as a mediator give her quite the privileges.

What the fuck did I just watch? Man... I want to meet the creator so I can chill with him while smoking some of his weed...
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?
