Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
Havoc10K:
No, she thinks the project will fail because they don't even have enough data to use for the human monument, a lot of history is unknown, she also mentioned that the human monument project has been going on for decades 2 eps ago and but no one ever found enough data to use for the completion of the project.
Point being, the project is usually in a stump, every next person feeling up to the task is somehow unable to finish it.
She believes the project s a failure and I agree. Instead of focusing any efforts on regaining lost history and technology, they should work on improving their lives right now. There is also the possibility of repeating mistakes if they know history from the past, and without knowing it. Best not to know you are repeating doomsday ne ?

Good guess. Though i was thinking about same thing during this episode.
I like main character with long hair, though short hair suits her as well. She should just use the fairies' shampoo like the last time <3
Havoc10K:
Second time in a short time she had to cut them, I wonder if she will get to use that shampoo for hair growth again :D

(click to show/hide)After seeing Watashi "take responsibility" in episode 6 I also started thinking the story isn't going in a normal chronological order, it just feels too weird to have her hair cut twice, especially if we assume that the episodes are going in a chronological order, which means Grandfather would already know that Watashi can easily regrow her hair back with the fairy products, and there won't be much of a point calling it taking responsibility.
I took the liberty of doing a couple of screenshots from ep 1 and 5 (she tied her hair midway in 5 so no point in screen caps from 6)
Episode 1:
Episode 5:
It is more than possible that it's just an animation slip up, and I should do more screenshots and pay closer attention to the dialogue between the episodes to back this up better, but it does seem that time isn't exactly moving in one direction between these episodes.
Pretty sure opening the novel will give answers now, but no fun in doing that, so let's discuss this.
Havoc10K:
Her gramps may know, but he is sympathetic to her, the rest of the UN doesn't know about it so it is a sort of a way to get some sort of satisfaction, they can't demote her because of the fairies, but they can punish her.
The idea of cutting her hair down is not to punish her but to make an impression that they did the right thing, since she can regrow them back she doesn't care, and she said in the scene where they cut her hair "again" so it's chronologically correct that it's ongoing properly.
