Ever noticed how bad satire is often misunderstood?
It's something like that.

Just a note, but often it doesn't have to be bad satire to be misunderstood. Satire in general seems to often be taken in the wrong way.

But Catholic babies make a great snack and the best shoe linings.

Yeah. All angry misunderstood teenagers are in fact the masters of satire.

I've yet to see satire here.

Sarcasm sure, but you can buy that at your local farmer's market by the pound.

Geez, I really like calculus, too.  I mean, all through elementary and high school I remember having to do all this work to figure out a slope, then calculus comes along and, whoa!  It's so easy!  Why weren't we taught that in high school?!

Math's cool when you appreciate how it can help you do what you want, like building a new set of steps for your house, or figuring out how much gravel you'll need to fill the hole you just dug for the foundation of the shed you want to build.

If you don't want to do anything for yourself, though, I guess you won't appreciate math.

I never said that.  Just commenting on the fact that satire in general is often missed.

The original article definitely has some satire to it.
