If I make a joke starting by "you guys suck so much at math that you..." it's not irony but it's satire. Hence, satire can be ironic but is not necessarily.

No, that would just be straightforward insulting unless there is irony at all.
Satire would be something more like "good thing your math is so shitty, as the up-bell will raise my average".
Also, that Google definition is by no means a rigorous one. Then again, few dictionaries actually try to make sure two similar words have distinction between their meanings.
