Accel World.
The anime may not be awesome, but that game (I mean the accelerated world) is fucking awesome indeed!!! I really really want it!!!!!!!!

I think I'd prefer SAO (without the "die ingame and get your brain fried" part, though) or maybe Alfheim Online, tbh... Burst Link has a few quirks I don't like at all, like the inability to choose your character's look or abilities, or even combat type as well as the fact that you can get challenged anywhere, anytime...

I guess it depends if I'm the main character or could choose who I am in the series, cause some could be really cool unless you were just one of those unlucky bystanders.

I mean, it's easy to say "DBZ! I'd be Goku!" (just a hypothetical, I wouldn't choose it); But what if you were really one of those poor schmucks that lived on planet Earth that got killed and later revived in like every single story arc? xD...

Any with virtual reality (SAO)

Any with the concept of merging consciousness and technology (GiTS) especially the whole hive mind/integrated consciousness thing but haven't seen many with this
