Have you experienced a “life and death” situation?

Pls. tell your name, age, location[optional] the details of the encounter of “life and death situation”,

Did he/she/relatives attempted or called a priest to receive the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. Why or why not?

life and death... yea i did, a lot during playing a few games, when i needed to shoot the fag before he gets to shoot me. trololol?

if you don't get what that meant, it means "no, haven't experienced such."

and no, you don't call a priest when you're dying, you call a doctor, which bullsh.t would actually call a priest when someone got hit by a car?
bullsh.t person: "kyaa! someone got ran over by a car! quick go call ~~an ambulance!~~ a priest!"

Yeah, there is a thread on this approximate topic, but I can't find it at the moment either. I think 1000mah likely started it at some point. It probably has some weird title.

As a filipino, i'm sure you've heard of this happen on the news. I've never thought i'd almost be in one tho.

Not exactly life and death. I was on my way home from college passing through Greenbelt park and stopped for a quick coffee. I heard a loud thump, but didn't pay it any mind. Turns out the bus stop in front of SM (The one under MRT), was bombed and the bus had opened up like a flower. If i didn't stop for coffee, i'd probably be dead.

That ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you have Extremist Catholics in the nothern half of the Philippines, and Extremist Muslims in the southern half.

head on collision at ~70km/h
car was a write-off (chassis was bent, engine/firewall was moved)

praying is fine, but renting a priest isn't free where they could've just payed a doctor for emergency medication. so which would you prefer, people hospitalizing you or people calling for a priest as if they're mourning for the dead?

anyway, what has god have to do with life or death situations, not like praying can heal your torn body overnight and such... if he does do that then i sure do hope he turns me into an immortal while hes at it.

Had a quincy (basically a pile of snow, settled and then hollowed out in the middle, kinda like an igloo but just a pile of snow instead of bricks of it) collapse on me. When it collapsed I felt back so I ended up lying on my back and couldn't breathe at all. If the instructor hadn't known exactly where my head was, I doubt they would have been able to find me in time, and I probably wouldn't be here today... I've been claustrophobic ever since..

In this case obviously there was no priest called. But none of my immediate family is heavily christian, or even heavily religious.

Ok, I will do this properly this time.

Not telling my name, but location: Norway, age: 25 (age during accident: 18)

After the crash I hiked home which was nearby, then got a brief visit from the police who tried really hard to make me confess a crime (no tire marks on the gravel bitches, not telling my speed), then I came back to the area to loot the wreckage for the car stereo and other valuables before I went home and called a company to drag it out and drive it to the junkyard. Living in a family of agnostics and some family members who don't give a shit about neither faith nor lack of faith, there wasn't even a slight possibility to call a priest.

I have, but I was too young to remember it.

Apparently, I suffered from infant asphyxia three days after I was born. The cause is to this day unknown.

Priest: Uhm, no. If my CPR-performing mother would have called for a priest instead, I would have died.

I'm not sure about this one but I tell anyway..
It happend last year, I walked on my way home (I was in a pissed off mood) and suddenly my chest hurted so much, ( left side where the heart is ) I kinda panicked. (I thought I was getting a heart attack at that point) I stand still for a couple of minutes and the pain was over, kinda weird but happy nothing happend. I never talked about it with anyone until know

Happend this year
It was a normal college day, my classmates and I walked to a supermarket to buy some food/drinks and walked back to school.
At a certain point we have to cross a busy road, so we waited until the traffic light's to be green, and when that happend I walked in front. And when I thought it was safe, a bus with high speed (55kmph) drives right in front of me ( like 20 cm) at that point I was in kind of shock, couldn't move a muscle. So yeah my almost dead experience

Btw I'm 18, and live in the Netherlands

I hope this is a summation of the experiences of several people and not just you.

Also, at first glance I read '106 Fever' as '106 occurrences of a fever resulting in blackout', rather than a single '106 degree fever'. I guess this means I'm tired and should probably go to sleep now.

Those are all mine, and I did not even list everything I have experienced as most people do not believe it and resort to calling me a liar, etc. I go by the same name on spinalforums, where I try and help others in pain as I have tried many alternative therapies. I have most of my past x-rays and MRI's uploaded there.
