It was merciless for sure, heartless ? not really.
It was senseless, and had mercilessly stupidly directed plot.

I hope that THIS show will be unique.

For people who watch it week by week or/and those who have minimum intelligence about what the whole anime is about:

Guilty - having committed an offense, crime, violation, or wrong, especially against moral or penal law; justly subject to a certain accusation or penalty.
Crown - the power or dominion of a sovereign.

Take the first OP song and listen to Inori's feelings. She lived up to her words? Yes. She expressed her point of view? Yes. Does this have anything to do with Guilty Crown? Yes - read the lyrics.

Don't argue about Guilty Crown just because you expected it to be something which turned out to be way different.

Bringing really good news. The animation production will be 8-bit

! They worked closely with Satelight to produce Macross Frontier series (The TV series to my knowledge). They've done a lot of mechina designs as well and they're really good at it. I'll update first post with more news later tonight.

Me neither. My only worries is the music development .. the one who's doing it only worked on one other title which he did an okay job on it. The story and structure itself is being done by Konami - they're really good. They did Gurren Lagann. And 8bit is really good with anime designs, mecha designs and fluid animation. So I'm not worried about that part.

If this series is gonna be like a mix of Madoka and Guilt Crown remains to be seen when it starts showing in Japan. From the art it looks cute, it kind of reminds me what screenshots and art of Sky Girls or Strike Witches I have seen.

Note: I have not watched any of the series I have mentioned.

Watched the first two episodes and so far, I must say that I am not digging this one at all.

It's like Angelic Layer without the layer and no characters that I could give two pence about. Also, the few scenes where they showed there master, is it just me or does his animation look like utter shiat? When compared to the quality of the animation they put in to the Shinki's, the actual human looks like he was animated by the back up team.
