I honestly don't care and I'm something of an FF fanboy, or as close to game fandom as I'll get. Role-playing games should have interesting characters, settings, and plots -- the only thing the game-play has to be is fun and challenging It doesn't have to do what dozens of games have done before it because that's our expectation of it, they can innovate all they wish so long as it improves that aforementioned fun and challenge.

Me too, lol. I still complain about somethings but that's part of loving Final Fantasy.
I also don't care what anyone, anyone says ... I want Versus XIII's story and characters and battle system. I don't care if they change the name or add it to the 360, as long as they don't destroy the PS3's version. I want to experience it!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII is NOT cancelled. I really wonder when Square Enix released that they've never peaked out because they've been going down hill for 11+ years now. Like I said, I loved FFX but is seems like to make hardcore FF fans that IX was the last great FF game.
Just give up Sqaure Enix.... make a Final Fantasy VII remake already. I mean, there "reasoning" for refusing to remake the game is because they want to make a game that is better first.
First of all, that will never happen. FF7 probably still stands as one of the loved games in the popular era. Second of all, stop focusing on graphics.

I know this is an atypical opinion, but FF 7 is my least favorite FF (13 doesn't count as a FF game). I'm not sure why, but it is.
