Conveniently your opinion is also debated heavily over here. After listening to him, even the victims are more inclined to believe that he is just that fucking evil. In my opinion you just narrowed your viewpoint of what is within the limitation that a sane person can do... most likely to extremely sheltered modern society.
Tell a story like this to some tribal warlord from 2000 years ago and he would reply "Yeah, we also raided a village, killed all women and children after raping them thoroughly" as if it was a normal every day thing to do.
