Seriously, I seed preferentially on trackers that need it (rare stuff or anime as on bakaBT) because... Others might like it!

Seed because I want to keep a good ratio and because it's quite a fun 'game' of sorts.

I pretty much seed alot because there are times im at places where i just can't seed at all so i make sure to seed when i can to compensate, well at first. By the time i reached 7.0 ratio i just got fixated on getting it higher o.O

One of the reasons I seed is to stay afloat. My upload speeds are crap, so I seed whatever and whenever I can. Plus it's also nice to keep some torrents alive if I can and give back to the community.  Sometimes my torrents are seeding for months at a time, but sometimes I need the room so they have to go. However I do what I can. Hell I've had Appleseed (newer one) and Appleseed: Ex Machina for almost a month.  If I had better upload speeds and such I would seed more than what I do now. It's not ideal, but I do what I can for what little I got.

I just learned back in the day when you torrent something that you should at least seed to a 1.5 ratio, that way you give back what you took. You can't do it for every torrent but I try to at least match it with a 1:1 ratio.

I believe I have unlimited Bandwidth per month(Or it's something like... I'm supposed to have a limit, but Cox says they don't care or charge you if you go over.).
I seed because the site requires a certain ratio to be able to continue downloading.
Even though I'm above the ratio, I figure; If I can help people get Anime faster, I dunno why I wouldn't.

It kinda became a habit than anything else. I get something from BBT, I give something back in return. I try to seek out low-seeder artbooks to seed long-term because I myself enjoy reading artbooks.

I seed because I'm a rebel. I laugh maniacally whilst getting a hard-on as I imagine business executives fretting over lost revenue due to torrents. My ratio serves as a symbol of my resistance to the greedy corporate regime!

Also, I'm a philanthropist stuck in a poor mans body. I don't have any money (unlike cocksucking copyright lawyers) so I choose spread my seeds everywhere and share the love instead :D

I seed cus I like to think that my ups make people happy. Especially the kinds I do. I only upload DVD 1:1 copies. They may only have 2-3 downloaders, but those are 2-3 happy downloaders.

Unlimited bandwidth, 100mbit connection and computer on 24/7 anyway combines into a situation where there is absolutely no reason not to seed.
I also want people to have some of the stuff I seed and fast... because it's good. Sadly the torrents with the less interesting stuff are usually the popular ones, heh.

Pretty much.
I have it slightly bottlenecked when I'm playing WoW or something, but once I'm ready to go to bed, or I'm not using online services, I just let them all run at unlimited.

I seed because it is the right thing to do. I am benifiting directly from others sharing so it is my duty to share as well. In addition the things I download are usually interesting to me so I like the idea of sharing that data. I have seeds on other sites that are near a year old and I will continue to seed as long as I can. Spread the love!

I seed to compensate for all the others who can't seed (I remember being on dial-up and later having a 1024k/128k connection - took forever to seed a torrent to 1:1 ratio). I do not pay for transferred data (only a fixed monthly fee). Also, it's a great way of testing my ability to keep the computers on as close to 24/7 as possible. The bandwidth graphs are nice too...

I am now averaging about 1TB/day uploads - but most of that goes to public trackers, because the anime I like does not get a lot of downloaders on BakaBT, so my connection would be wasted if I did not seed public torrents.

Seeing something like this is also nice:

I seed because someone was generous to upload something I would like to see, so I'd like to help keep it up for someone else to enjoy.

Probably not the place for it but my seeds will be down for a few hours on the 25th until I am able to get home. I'll be spending the morning in a place that a connection to the internet is not possible. If there is a problem with this please let me know. I was just made aware of the appointment I have tomorrow a few ago.

only cuz sites make me.  i have a seedbox too, but again just cuz certain trackers have strict hit and run rules that make ratios irrelevant.  on some trackers, i'll just upload a few really popular torrents that are freeleech from my seedbox and get several hundred gb's or even up to a tb upload.  after that i just blatantly hit and run on every torrent.  i'm probably one of the all-time leaders in hit and runs on this one asian music tracker, but i'm such an asian pop addict that i keep worrying money will someday be tight and i won't be able to afford a seedbox.  this is the most important site on the net for me  so i keep seeding freeleech torrents on there at least a few times a week and my stats are sick.  i think i have like a 15 tb buffer to play with.   however, if they ever decided to ban people on hit and runs based on their history, i'd be banned like a thousand times.   how is that fair exactly?  if i uploaded 15 tb more than i downloaded then i clearly helped a lot of people download torrents.  who cares if i hit and run on like a thousand torrents.  the ones i did seed, i seeded like a motherfucker and am probably one of the upload leaders for that tracker.   i see the theory for why is the right thing to do and helping the system work so everyone gets good speeds, but i pretty much don't care.  if a tracker only goes by ratio, then i'll do what i have to do my own way to make sure i have a good ratio and then i'll hit and run all day every day.  if hit and runs are enforced, then i'll follow that rule if i care enough to still be a member.  this one wrestling tracker i used to use also annoyed me by begging for money constantly and threatening to shut down if people didn't donate.  prowrestlingtorrent s it was called.   run by scum.  i had like a 700 gb more upload than download.  i hit and run for all the years i'd ever been a member and one day they pm'ed me and suspended me for hitting and running on almost every torrent ever.  i told them to disable my account and go fuck themselves.  all the new wrestling releases are available everywhere else so if they are going to be dicks and make me jump through hoops by enforcing hit and runs then they better make sure to have exclusive content other trackers don't have.  they don't have much of that so who needs them.  trackers like asiandvdclub i hit and run on all the time too, but also use my seedbox to make sure my stats are good cuz i love that site and there is no other tracker i know of that's like it.  i have a 3 tb buffer on that site cuz i care about it.  i hit and run like crazy there, but they are cool and go with the established rules of ratio is all that matters.  dvd-rs are many gb's and if i ever lost my seedbox then i'd probably use up that 3 tb buffer within 2-3 years.

short answer is only when i have to.

I accept social reciprocity as a positive means of contributing to the public good. So long as people are willing to demonstrate their goodwill I will return their sentiments. My uploading rate is tiresome, but if people are downloading and there aren't hundreds of seeders as to make my contribution irrelevant, I'll keep it seeding indefinitely.

I should get a seedbox, but I generally don't download so much that maintaining an acceptable ratio is a problem.

Seeding is the least I can do.
So far I've been a member for 2 years and sevenish months but I still feel like I've gained alot from the community, simply by reading.

I figured I'd slowly start giving back via forum posts and interacting with fellow members.
