Why do you seed?

kitamesume:
im seeding because no one was planting them, heh heh heh heh heh

Rayu5:
I seed because I want to keep stuff online for others too, I usually seed everything for at least 6months, back in the days I didn't seed because I couldn't rename or move the files whenever I want, now that I started again and uTorrent actually let's you change the location it's not a big problem, even though I have to say that I really hate to leave the filenames unchanged.

I'm wondering that there are still countries/providers who have limited bandwith, I'm paying 30€ every month for a 3000kb/s connection, with unlimited bandwidth to use and I want to upgrade it next month to 16Kkb/s

wolfy2033:
I get 9mb/s down and 1mb/s up with no bandwidth or data limits for about $45 a month. I figured that I might as well use it, as I know some people pay far more for far less.
Also, getting to and maintaining a positive ratio is a courtesy, if it's at all possible.

kaochosen:
I do it because that feel when im trying to download something really obscure and there's one seeder for it, the only one who cares. I want to be that guy for someone else.

johnkx:
I seed because of the bakabt's ratio rule, if it wasn't for that ratio I wouldn't even think about seeding.

Yes, I'm a selfish person, I close my torrents after downloading BUT I do seed occasionally: after downloading a new episode, a request or when I just feel like it.

I have unlimited upload, with 250gb monthly download cap. When I upload, it slows my net to dial-up speed so I really hate seeding.

tl:dr I only seed when its necessary, or someone's requesting it.
