The Playstation Store is a Goldmine

Factor in shipping and the time your waiting, I'd still say PSN is better. And that isn't new.. Digital won't ever break (unless your console does) and I've never came across a bug that wasn't on the disc to begin with.

Hm Can you redownload things of PSN if your console does break? I've never tried, though when I used to have a 360 I think you could as long as it was the same account.

Only children resort to name calling over what should be a courteous debate ;)

You say you aren't trying to win but indirectly claim a victory on the pretense I refuse to listen to (your) reason but yet you refuse to argue the individual refutations I make against your original counter to my argument.

As for wait time, sure it takes a few days to get the physical copy but I am pretty sure (I may be wrong though) if you own a physical copy, you are legally allowed to download a digital copy as a backup (at the very least, they aren't going to waste their time on you). So if you don't want to wait for your copy to arrive, you can always download it while you wait. Even if it is technically illegal, I'm pretty sure you are morally fine.

If your PS3 breaks, you are screwed for playing your port. If you own an original copy or pirated copy on the original system, you can still play it on any number of other platforms.

Again, how is buying a port on PSN better than having a copy on the original platform?

As far as redownloading is concerned, I would imagine you can redownload provided you use the same account.

Ashall:
No I think they changed that law in the U.S. at least. Even if you own a physical copy it isn't legal to download a back up. Yay~ Capitalism.

Seriously though what more do need than a ps3 and psp to play ps1 classics. Unless you have to take games with you when ever you leave your residence. It's not as limiting as you make it seem.

Idc about winning or losing this. I just want to discuss the games on PSN. This is what the topic is supposed to be about anyway. You still ignore whenever I say New copy vs PSN copy price-wise. So just drop it. I said you're a child because you continue to act like one. Don't make it seem like I'm calling you something offensive or vulgar.

If they changed the law then I raise the BS flag on the US govt. I still know I am morally ok.

Are "PS1 classics" compatible on both the PSP and PS3? If you buy a port for the PS3 do you also get one for the PSP?

You can't talk about "PS1 classics" on the PSN network without also addressing the downfalls of the ports and alternative delivery systems (and the same goes for Xbox Live delivering original XBox games).

I was never under the impression we were talking about New copy vs PSN copy price-wise. I don't think I ever said a new copy costs $10. I know I linked to a used copy of FF VII. Perhaps I missed the point at which you shifted the conversation from used copies to new. Considering you are purchasing a digital copy, I never thought you would even consider a new copy. I mean, in the end, if the game works, isn't that all that matters for you?

And I am not making it seem like you called me something offensive or vulgar. You simply resorted to calling me a child. I take no offense. I was simply pointing out your hypocrisy.

It is, in fact, tied to the account and not the console. A friend of mine has logged in on my PS3 and my games disappeared but I had access to download his games. There's probably a console "soft cap", though, to avoid people "beating the system".

Please, guys, just chill. I didn't mean for this to be a piracy debate - just a simple "how awesome is this store?" for those of us who use it.

Ashall:
Yeah and Penguin has already stated he doesn't use it so why is he here, idk.  :P tehehe Yes I was always talking about New copies not old used ones with scratches. The whole point of what I was saying it is much cheaper to rebuild a PSX library through PSN than a vendor selling new physical copies. Pretty sure I dropped the whole piracy point quite a few posts ago.

Anyway I got Chrono Cross as well, can't wait to replay that tehehe

Oh btw Penguin they are compatible and transferable. You can move save files to and fro as well. The Vita is also going to be able to play ps1 classics.
