Good afternoon everyone.
I don't know if you remember all the way back to BBT Meet 2011 but I've decided to host another event.
As I live in England and hosting, the BBT Meet 2012 will again be hosted in the historic city of York, Northern Yorkshire
The date will be Saturday 29th September 2012. We'll meet early in the day. Perhaps 10:00 so that we can make a good day event of it.
There will be staff in attendance, but you'll have to show up to find out who [unless they post themselves that they're coming].
Note that last time we had Southrop, Jarudin, Arc-sama and myself.
If people are travelling from abroad or another part of the country, you're welcome to message me and I'll assist in finding cheap hotel for the night. Unfortunately all space in my house has already been reserved. (And I don't trust regular members/anons to stay in my house....)
We're probably going to do something fun and interesting on the Saturday so wear comfortable shoes for walking. Avoid trainers because if we do happen to go for a drink in town in the evening [highly probable], then trainers get rejected by the bouncers.
I'll be replying to questions here if you have any and updating the topic as we get closer to the date.
If anyone wanted to buy some BBT related merchandise, I'll sign it in exchange for free stuff.
Lots of love.
ChiyachanQ&AWhat are we going to do?
Meet up, chat and then probably go do something fun. Perhaps go to town for a drink. If someone offers to pay for my meal, we'll go to Jumbos, the all you can eat Chinese buffet.Do I have to live in England to attend?
No.Will there be a BBT Meet in another country?
Not unless another staff member decides he/she wants to do so. Members are welcome to arrange their own meetings elsewhere but it wouldn't be an "OFFICIAL" BBT Meet unless organised by or attended by staff. Why are you recommending against trainers?
The bouncers feel that if you wear trainers you're a low class person. You're not making an effort to look good and therefore don't let you in. I don't make the rules, ask them if you want a proper explaination.I need a cheap place to stay!
PM me and I'll see what I can look up for you in the area. Why is it being hosted in York and not somewhere else in England?
Chiya is hosting people at his house and he lives in York. As he's the person organising the meet, where he hosts it is where it will be.
If you live far away, learn to use the train as there's a station in York. Or take a plane to Leeds or Manchester and train from there. I'm too poor/I live abroad!
I've made it so you have several months to save up the money and fly in from abroad. No bitching about these two reasons.Am I allowed to come?
If you can read the annoucement, you're welcome at the meet. How old do I need to be?
As we will most likely be going for drinks/socialising in a pub at some point ID will be required. This will need to be either a driving licence or passport. [Other photographic ID may be accepted but you'd be taking a risk.]
For those under 18, you're welcome to join us in the morning/afternoon. Depending on how many of you are here then we might go to a child friendly place so you can have non-alcoholic beverages. [IT'S ILLEGAL TO BUY ALCOHOL FOR A MINOR. DON'T EVEN ASK - I'll give you a 52 week warning on the tracker there and then through my phone]Alcohol? But I don't drink!
Never fear, Chiya himself won't be doing alcohol as the girlfriend probably won't approve. He can't afford it either. He'll be on soft-drinks. He has to guide staff members back to his house too!Don't you think travelling the country is expensive for us UK people down south?
Shut up and stop whining. You can get from London to York for £10 or less. Book now with megabus or redspottedhanky.Where can I park?
Cheapest place to park would be outside of the town centre down a side street. Probably near the race course.
Free parking on "Kensington Street, Yo23". Or that entire area is free parking.Football?
Final answer is no. We -might- do paintballing or DDR or bowling or laser quest. We'll see about that. You're welcome to try and get people playing football, but it won't be high on my list of "stuff to do".Will there be fighting?
No fighting allowed. I will call the police. =.=Is there a deadline to confirm if I'm coming?
No need. Personally I don't care. Closer to the time I'll give details on where I will be and at what time. I will also have a mobile phone on me so that people can text/call to find where I am to meet up later in the day too. Will also be using the BBT twitter account for updates.TRAVEL INFORMATION.
The CLOSEST airport is Leeds Bradford.
The EASIEST airport for train connection is MANCHESTER.www.megabus.com/uk

@jacky911 - No bitching about cost, you've got MONTHS to save up.
@fenrir00 - Get rid of the baby...
@supai - That's the attitude I like.
@XZasCC - There IS a weight restriction. 150kg or higher isn't allowed. Or allowed, but may be mocked. >_> Or poked with a stick and made to run short distances for fatty foods.
@Jedi Gigolo - Don't worry about age. As long as you're not one of these old men wearing suspenders and sweaters and leer at young girls, you'll be welcome and find someone to talk to.
@Saraclaudia - I'm hoping Southrop will do his duty and sacrifice his family while in China so I can have an authentic Mahjong set made of human bones....
