Thunderbolt Hard Drive

So I'm contemplating on getting a new HD and I've seen that there are thunderbolt HD's from Lacie and WD. What do you guys think? Is it worth it to get something like that?

A motherboard with Thunderbolt will set you back $500 but you get nice features.

I know that feeling, my sister boyfriend is an Apple fanboy and listening to him talking about how great it is really gets on my nerves.

Lol I do own macs, but they're 4-5 years old and it'll be way in the future if I'm ever gonna buy a new one. But yes, I do have a Thunderbolt capable motherboard. I'm just trying to convince myself (and have others convince me) to get one .

Well I'm happy to know that you've bought something more sensible than a Apple product recently.
If you just want a simple portable external solution, USB 3.0 is more than enough.
But if you want to daisy chain a few externals into one single slot, Thunderbolt is the way to go.
