Customizing Laptops
« on: June 24, 2012, 09:01:03 PM »
I want Dell's Alienware laptop just for the looks ... but paying double the price for the same specifications is NOT worth it.

Any good websites out there to customize your laptop's specifications and have a nice feel and look to it? My budget is 1000 US dollars.

If all you care about is looks, you're going to like this then.

EDIT: The laptop I linked isn't customizable, but at HP 70% of their laptops are.

I see, I still want to be able to customize the hardware on it. That's the main thing.

I know you can customize hardware on Dell's build-a-laptop page. Apparently HP offers a similar service.

Keep in mind you can always customize at least some parts of your laptop - namely the RAM and HDD. Other things can also be changed but require a more involved process.

Dell allows you to choose from Laptops that have already been customized, the only thing they let you "customize" is the bloat ware that comes with it. However the arragement's Dell has don't disappoint. It's 3 different customization for each laptop.

However HP lets you customize the laptop completely. So do these guys, but they are a bit more expensive.

Nah, normally I'd just give Acer a call and tell them what I want, then they'll hook me up with the one closest to my description.

This is the first time I've heard anyone say they actually want an AW laptop for the looks.

Honestly man, that thing looks like it was designed by a 8-year old.

You just call them and they'll customize it for you?

Their AW looks badass without a doubt. But the prices on their laptops is insane and certainly not worth the extra money.
