Quote
Shortly after the defeat of Majin Buu, Bills, the God of Destruction, awakens after a long slumber. After hearing rumors of a Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza, he tracks down that warrior, Son Goku. Excited at the prospect of a new challenge, Goku faces him in battle, only to be quickly overwhelmed by his power, and he is defeated shortly thereafter. Realizing the threat Bills poses to the entire universe, Goku and his friends must find a way to stop him before it's too late.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-07-10/toei-toriyama-work-on-march-2013-dragon-ball-z-film

More info. It sounds promising for Dragonball fans. And Toriyama will be deeply involved just as Kishimoto is with Road to the Ninja and Oda with Strong World.

Maybe we will even get a short teaser when this finishes: http://shonenjump.com/j/countdown/

It does seem as if a new animated movie is in the works! :D
Yay! Thank God for not creating a live-action film... "The-Movie-That-Must-Not-Be-Name" is the worst film ever!!!

Well, everything looks promising except for the villain. A kangaroo? Really? A villain like Bojack, Brolly or Hirudegarn would have been preferred.

I do like the animation if it's anything like what we saw in this one. It's very interesting for old fans such as myself who cares about animation to see new tricks the animators have added to bring the battles into 2013. Otherwise just seeing Vegeta bicker with Goku and Trunks and Goten off somewhere causing troubles is going to be worth it.

I think it's supposed to look like an Egyptian god. Resembling either Anubis or Bast.

That said... This takes place before GT?

This film is set betweeen the 517th and 518th chapters of the original manga, specifically during the lost decade of story time after the end of the battle with Majin Buu.

DRAGONBALLLLLLLLLLL LL WOOOT.

So is this the official continuation of Dragonball Z;
any ideas if the manga is an ongoing series?
I'm known as Redfrags on most sites I frequent,
so if you find my name elsewhere, it's probably me :)

Cool, it'll fit in with what I know then, and I won't have to try to learn about a bunch of stuff I am clueless about. But then I like Goku's better than Gohan's story line anyway.
Timing is everything in comedy!

...? The manga was completed almost 20 years ago in 1995.  ???

Bump.

Has it been licensed by Funimation already? I didn't see it in the DO NOT UPLOAD list (it only lists till movie 13).
