Furthermore, it does matter on what you pick and it's your money to do whatever you want with it. Obviously you want the best bang for your buck but you want it to be reliable, durable and good performance ... yes? Then do some research and it doesn't hurt to ask people.

Yup obviously...
btw i called them up again today...
they said whenever i ask them for the 3TB elements they can arrange it within a week
should i still go with a 2TB version or order a 3TB version though net? :P

seagate definitely. I've had my fill of WD hard drives when 3 of my WD drives crashed one after another.

How much? If it's less than 200 US dollars then go for the 3TB, if not then go for the 2 TB. The 2 TB is about 130 US dollars so that's a really good bang for everything you're looking for.
