I never knew Seagate released a 4TB GoFlex Desk too.
Anyways like Tatsujin i'd like to ask you which WD drive did you have?
I'm unsure of the WD model, I'll have to dig it out.
I do know that the one is a IDE (PATA) 2.5" 320GB, that kept having bearing problems.
Once everyone switched to SATA, I had to go with WD for the IDE 320GB.
The laptop doesn't have enough room for a SATA to PATA adapter.
I have bought a new laptop, but I'd like to keep that one functioning, since there are a lot of older programs that won't run on a Windows 7 computer.
That's also why I keep a DOS 6.22 / Win 3.11 120MHz Pentium Notebook computer working.
40MB RAM, 2GB HDD.
Re: Seagate GoFlex 4TB USB 3.0
Look on the Seagate website, you will find it listed, but none available.
When SE Asia flooded a couple of years ago, the HDD factories had to be rebuilt, and the 4TB external HDDs are probably low on the priority list.
Unlike regular external drives, the GoFlex are sealed as external drives.
Internally, the GoFlex 4TB has 3 Partitions, which the base combines into one drive.
And for the other person:
I have a default download folder on the 4TB drive: L:\Download\
I change the drive letter to the download folder on the 3TB drive: W:\Download\
uTorrent will seed from where ever the download is at.
I manually start the download, because I want to set where the download folder is, and what the max seeding speed is.
