Another description: The anime follows five young female rakugo (Japanese comedic storytelling) performers and their everyday lives.

On the plus side it's not high school slice of life, but the show's heavy reliance on puns and cultural references might get in the way of enjoying how cute the girls are for some people.

As far as I know only gg dared to sub this, and at the translator's own leisure.

(click to show/hide)I'd like some of that "Strawberry custard extra whip cream plus brownie medium size and chocolate spray and maple syurp caramel sauce roll up" crepe if I heard her right.Yes I wanted to see more that badly.

i was a bit reluctant to watch this at first, but my curiosity got the better of me and watched ep 1 as soon as it was on nyaa. the fact that it is so different makes it fun to watch. i'm actually really enjoying it. puns ant cultural references don't really distract me from liking it.

Lord of Fire:
This show is absolutely fantastic. I may not get everything they say, but they keep it entertaining enough to watch anyway. Plus, they've been so kind as to leave translation notes at Not Red Reviews, so you'll learn about the more obscure references soon enough.

Of course, most people just watch this for the cute girls.

These kinds of shows make me wonder how many of the jokes I miss because I can't speak the language...
