Demonoid is officially dead, who knows the best alternatives? (Open or not)
Sepukku:
TPB is back up for a few hours now.
My alternative is Isohunt. I cant remember a single game that i couldnt get running. Yes, sometimes you get a non-working file, but i just delete it and start reading the most recent comments on other torrents.

you're doing it partly wrong, don't block them, limit the upload. your worries about peers are swarming your upload and crippling download right?
to make it short, peers can increase your download speed, just set it up so that you'd upload evenly or less.
i've seen torrents with 0seeds but tons of leechers/peers, and to my surprise i could max my line on them.
TorturdChaos:
I don't do much torrenting any more. Switched over to Usenets for my games, movies, music and ebooks. But Anime is a bit harder to find on most of the Usenet sites, unless its really new stuff or subbed (Have to find dubbed if I want my wife to watch it with me :P). So I came here for most of my Anime, and everything I couldn't find here I turned to Demoind for. Been using Demoind for years tho. Long before I switched to Usenets, very sad to see it go. I hope it does its phoneix act again like so many times before :P.

Peerblock does not block people from downloading from you. Just blocks government, school, and company etc IPs.
I've been torrenting forever, I know how to limit bandwidth.
It's not to limit bandwidth, it's so that the majority of places that want to log your IP to see the things you seed/download etc can't catch you.

Oh okay, good deal. I just know that for the past couple days, the site was down.
Good to know it's back up, since there are some audiobooks I need to get from them.

^no, last time i checked most of peerblock does concludes to placebo effect when it comes to security. at worst all it does is hinder P2P performance.
if you want security, opt for encrypted VPN or proxy, now those work way better than blocking random IPs, even if theres a list, the eyes could just switch to another one.
