File name too long

just now i want to copy into laptop some of anime that have long name...
but the windows cant copy it because "file name too long"...
how to fix/prevent/ or is there any way around?
dont tell me to rename the file because its tiring (individual renaming), and for seeding of course...

If your OS doesn't support the length of the name, what are you gonna do about it otherwise :)
However, check that you don't have too deep folder structure, so that it's not that causing the problem. There's a limit on the total number of characters in the path+filename.

Well, if individual renaming is what you're worried about, use a bulk renamer. Should simplify and ease the task by quite a bit. As for seeding, you'll have to relocate and point out each individual file I guess.

I would suggest doing this first that will most likely solve the problem ... if not then shortening the file name would be the next option.

If its a torrent, everyone else seems to be fine with it. I'd say folder structure is too deep. When you are told 'filename is too long' it actually means 'pathname is too long'. Stupid Windows.
