BakaBt incorrectly labeling my Uploads???

<< < (2/3) > >>

LeijonaSisu:
Thanks a lot for the replies guys. I have a 100/100 fiber optic connection. So trust me it's not packet loss at all. I've got accounts on other private trackers and I've never had any problems at all. Ping test rates my connection an A+. No packet loss, 1ms of jitter etc. We also don't have traffic shaping in Finland. Thankgod, I remember those horrors back when I lived in Australia.

If there's nothing I can do about it, then I'll just accept that fact. I still get a few GBs if I leave my computer on overnight. At the rate I watch Anime it's not a big deal as long as I can get a few GB a day, even if I don't seem to be getting the entire lot.

I'll just do lots of reseeding, download from somewhere else and upload to BakaBT to keep my ratio clean. I don't like having a ratio under 2.0

Thanks for trying to help guys, I thought there might be an easy explanation but I guess not :/

frozenflame:
it also might be possible you downloaded the torrent when you were not logged in, therefore the torrent you are seeding is not actually seeded under your account. You can try logging in and redownloading the torrent file and seed. There is a difference between downloading the torrent file while logged in and not. Registered user tracker shd be tracker.bakabt.me, unregistered users tracker will be XXX.bakabt.me, for this month it's august.bakabt.me

I might be wrong, but still worth a try

Freedom Kira:
That won't result in the situation here. The only way this could happen as a result of initially publicly seeding is if he manually changed the tracker URL, because he has tracked a lot more data on his client than the site has recorded. If he ever removed the torrent, his client would start counting again from zero when he re-adds it, thus eliminating any discrepancy. I'm pretty sure OP is not so stupid that he would change the tracker URL and then complain he's seeded a lot more than is recorded.

Note to OP: stat reporting is more prone to packet loss when you're using bandwidth heavily; for instance, if you leech a lot of torrents at the same time. I've had stats incorrectly reported before when I added 30+ torrents to my queue at once.

frozenflame:
yea, as u said it is possible the tracker have been changed manually thats why the statistics are still there.
who knows he might have done it while sleep walking? just joking :X

LeijonaSisu:
Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I think in the end it was down to the fact that I was seeding from 2 different machines. Even though I read that you can do that, just as long as there isn't 2 of the same torrents uploading. It still might have thrown something off.

ergo. One of my cookies could have expired and part of my uploads may not have counted. As far as I can tell now, it looks like all of my stats are holding up. Ratio is 10.2 which is where it should be and I've done half a TB in about a week which is pretty much how my connection goes.

Thanks a lot for the support and the thought food. I think I worked it out.
