Mistery ... or something that makes you think what's next

Hi again.

First of all, currently i'm watching "Another", and i have to say that i like the feeling it gives you. I like books/movies/anime that make you take a guess at what will happen next, or that keep give the viewer a few subtle hints at what would happen next (i also like plot twists).  An example would be Mirai Nikki, it's probably my favorite anime alongside with Clannad. The first scene in Mirai Nikki was a scene that was explained in the last few episodes, i like that. What i also like is Amnesia plots/Memory Loss or simply not remembering or something like that.

So i'm looking for an anime that has any of these, or at least something similar (if you think that you have a recommendation that i could enjoy but doesn't really fit any of these, i would like to hear it):

A) Mistery - this one is vague, but i like guessing what will happen next based on some small clues, or being in total mistery. Doesn't have to be anything supernatural, but it also can be, doesn't matter to me.

B) Plots with: Memory loss/ Time shifts/ Alternate Dimensions/ Secrets etc...

C) If you read this far and something popped into your mind, but you can't put your finger on any of the things mentioned above, feel free to suggest.

Kanon (Kyoto Animations never disappoints me)

Will watch Air TV, Bakemonogatari, Stein's Gate, i think these have mistery.

If you liked Trigun you might also enjoy Cowboy Bebop. I wouldn't call it "mystery", but it does have a few nice revelations. Then again, I wouldn't classify Trigun as "mystery" either.

What definitely fits what you're asking for is Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. I recommend NOT watching the sequel/second season Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, though. I know some people like it, but for me season 2 was a huge disappointment.

Seconding Baccano. The series frequently has characters running around in the background of scenes as extras, making you wonder what they're doing. Down the line, you'll see their part of that scene and then know what the characters you initially saw are doing while they're in the background this time.

Will definitely check some of the suggestions, currently downloading Higurashi no Naku and i've set my eyes on Elfen Lied, but i'm still waiting for someone to suggest me a hidden jewel (i have the feeling that these 2 anime that i've mentioned might be jewels).

Higurashi is a love it or hate it show. Watch the first four eps, and if you don't like what you saw... you might want to drop it. Personally, I love the premise and some of the gore is creative... but I'm really not a fan of the actual characters in their everyday lives. The un-creepy portions feel like an entirely different show, of the genre I don't really care for too much anyway. Despite this, I must admit I enjoy it on the whole. I just fast-forward through the boring school life scenes to get to the psychobabble bits. -Though the Rei OVA is absolute trash.

Not at all random actually, but you may need to pay a little attention to spot the system behind it. And those "boring school life scenes" serve to create a stark contrast, some of them contain hints to understanding what the fuck is going on, others still are creepier than any gory scene in the series.
