The JRPG will make its way to an anime adaption.

Description: A parallel world protected by four goddesses, who are engaged in a war with one another in Celestia. Meanwhile on the human world, mankind wages war with monsters unleashed by a being named Arfoire. The tome, Histoire, contains the knowledge of the past necessary to end both wars and shape the future. What fate awaits Neptune in the present? The goddesses’ battle for Gamindustri, the console war.

No, this sounds really intriguing. 4 goddesses in their own civil war, monsters and another being intent upon death and destruction. And who will unite them all in humanities desperate struggle for survival?

But is it ecchi?

I hated the game, the anime is most likely going to be a hell of a lot worse.

The gameplay bits of Neptunia sucked. Boring as hell.

The best parts are the video game industry references dispersed through the dialogue.

Looking at the strengths of the game, this thing might make a worthwhile anime series if the director just focuses on humor.
