Account Prunning Question
« on: August 30, 2012, 05:00:42 AM »
I have a question about account prunning. On the wiki it states:
Accounts are pruned after 11 months of disuse. Accounts with 0 download and 0 upload are pruned earlier.

For me, I already have downloads and uploads already, so I will not belong to the "pruned earlier" category.

So the question is what actually accounts to "disuse", is it no torrent activity or no login activity on bakabt? Because I will be away and not sure when I can turn on my torrents again, will logging into bakabt be sufficient to avoid being pruned?

Just log in once or twice, that should be enough.

Check these for a reference.
There is no greater natural advantage in life than to have an enemy over-estimate your faults, unless it is a friend under-estimating your virtues.

thanks for the response. I did use the search tho, but most gave answers like "I think logging in is sufficient" type, so I wasn't very sure

another question, does logging into bakabt and the forums both count?

newy EDIT: Don't doublepost.

No, they are registered separately, and forum accounts are never pruned at all.

ahh, I see. so just for confirmation again, all I have to do is to log in at bakabt to prevent prunning? no need to have torrent traffic to reset the prunning timer?

my ratio is gd now so I do not wish to lose my account :X
