Upload/Seeding Problem
chubbinz89:
Oh I see.
For a very long time I've been a big leecher and haven't contributed to uploading at all and BakaBT sort of forced me into it (Tough Love?) and now I understand importance of seeding and made me realize that I have been "that guy" who is a selfish douchebag.
Once I get my D/U rating up above the warning level I'll be downloading torrents with low seed/peer number to help out regardless of whether I'm interested in the file or not.
Thanks for the help guys

I beg to reconsider it. Getting 30 KB/s upload speed instead of 300 KB/s for a torrent with ~50 leechers and me as the only seeder is just plain ridiculous.
Freedom Kira:
I remember that blubart had explained before that this phenomenon is caused more by your router being unable to handle uTP. I'm not sure how old uTP is, but I don't think 1.8.5 had it. 2.x(.x) I'm unsure.
Disabling uTP should improve performance.

So I've been more focused on seeder/peer ratio now and just noticed this
If you look at the sixth torrent you can see that 372 seeders and 15 peers (approximately 25:1 ratio) and it is getting almost 100kB/second upload.
However, if you take a look at the fourth torrent you can see that it has 426 seeders and 56 peers (approx. 8:1 ratio), but is getting a mere 1.2kB/second upload.
Could you give me an insight on why that might be?

No, that was a different problem because I don't have a router in Moscow, and I installed uTorrent v3+ only on my new system in Moscow.

Your upload speed also depends on the number of seeders with seedboxes, and you cannot determine it just by looking at the number of seeders.
