The intern used that line on Bill? She didn't just say to him, 'just humor(dor) me on this one little thing?'

Anybody catch the debate from Wednesday night? I missed most of it as I was driving home from South Carolina, but the little I heard on the radio was going very well for Romney and very poorly for Obama. Not that most people care what happens in these debates, of course, but I was surprised to hear Romney speaking better than Obama.

Chris Matthews' reaction is a pretty good telltale

Obama was pretty terrible, but as far as his policies go, nothing interesting arose.

I'm even less sure of Romney's positions now than I was on Tuesday, for all the "establishing sharp contrast between the candidates" Lehrer was going on about, there were far too much similarities where there shouldn't have been. Romney felt like he was saying all the while "I'm going to keep doing just about everything Obama's doing which is popular, but not, for reasons I can't explain or it'll ruin my presidency".

That they were both excessively dishonest about the other's positions and their implications was expected, I wasn't expecting Romney to be so distant from his own though.
