2012 US Presidential Election
zherok:
Gay marriage approved by popular vote in Maine and Maryland, and likely to pass in Washington.
I can't see the Republicans fielding a Huntsman as a legitimate candidate by 2016, much less winning the primary. Regarding him specifically, I'm not even sure he'd accept if he were nominated.

Enjoy your 22 Trillion in Debt by 2016 y'all! Don't look Northward for any handouts!
Fool you twice = shame on you.

How would Romney have been any better on the deficit?

I can dream zherok, I can dream.

Maybe if they have a disastrous 2014 mid-term election, but I think short of that they'll double down on the batshittiness for 2016.

I'm betting the far right hate machine will be full on.
The social conservatives thought at least before the election that they could go further towards full Taliban.
I'm guessing it was they who dragged Romney down more than any thing else. Not too many people I know want to be hung on any crosses.
That or Obama's 2009 stimulus plan finally started working.
But I am not looking forward to January when 50% of my pay will go toward taxes. Not when I still get furlough days taken out, and gas prices are still much higher from the last time I got a raise, 5 years ago.
I think maybe I'll email my uncle. I'll say to him, next time maybe you, and all the people you forward emails for better increase the hate and bigotry more, right?
Maybe it will be Clinton for the Dems, but I bet the man from the right will be someone we either know little of now, or is so far right...how right is he??? HE's so far right, he wants NASCAR to drive the other direction, just to stop turning left! My biggest hurdle is the right has so alienated so many people in its drive for purity that all they have left are a bunch of losers. Well, they have plenty of whiners, but they don't run for office.
I bet Obama runs a scorched earth 2nd term. Meaning that he'll go for his agenda, and won't give a shit if there is any hope for a Dem to follow after. except with a dust broom and trash can.
